I can’t help but laugh at the ‘integrity of the game’ comments on this one.

The NBA has been a joke for years now.

Darn close to a decade, in fact.

Said Stern: “We view this allegation of with deepest regret. But hey, it’s not all bad news. At least he didn’t engage in dog fighting activities.”

Looks to me like the man is scared to death. Notice the deep breaths.

There was a study that had as it’s focus the number of NBA players who had been arrested, or were on probation, and the number came out to be 30% (or higher).

A “professional” Sport that can be played by fuzzy cheeked high schoolers holds no interest for me at all.

Too bad, because Tim Duncan is a class act IMO.

or..... STERN: “If we can just get this guy together with Michael Vick, they could run one heck of a betting operation, from dog fights to sports to world events!”

Did he say that the NBA security network includes, among others, the US Army? My phone rang and I missed it.

There’s a reason why Pete Rose has been banned from Major League Baseball for life. Even the tiniest suggestion that the games may have a pre-determined outcome will utterly destroy any competitive sport.

‘Darn close to a decade, in fact.’

Since Bird and Magic and Jordan left the game, I haven’t had any interest at all.

As if Stern would know, or care....

With professional sports and the networks promotion of sports betting, it was just a matter of time before this happened. With this much money floating around, sooner or later someone will fix a game. It had to happen.

Even the tiniest suggestion that the games may have a pre-determined outcome will utterly destroy any competitive sport.

Not destroy but certainly have a long term impact that will take many years to repair. For example, the Black Sox scandal, the 1950-51 college basketball scandals involving Kentucky, LIU, NYU, Manhattan, CCNY, Bradley, and Toledo.

I don’t know why a former NBA player doesn’t seek the Commish job, but more important, why don’t they start cleaning up the tatoo parlor first! I can’t stand how these guys look like thugs with their arms, chest and whatever else is tatooed. Not to mention the baggy pants - I miss the short shorts of the 70s and 80s and the clean cut look. I watched ESPN Classic with a playoff game from the Detroit Piston/LA Laker series and there was DENNIS RODMAN with NO TATOOES!
