If Majority Leader Harry Reid can’t start pulling troops out of Iraq, he doesn’t want to start paying them any more either.
After an amendment to begin withdrawing U.S. troops from Iraq within 120 days failed to receive the 60 votes needed to proceed, Reid set the entire defense authorization bill aside. By doing so, he shelved a 3.5 percent pay raise for all uniformed service personnel, $4 billion in equipment upgrades and a new program to treat traumatic brain injuries.
To increase pressure on Republicans to support the measure, sponsored by Sen. Carl Levin (D.-Mich.) and Sen. Jack Reed (D.-R.I.), Reid threw the Senate into an all night session on Tuesday evening that lasted through Wednesday morning. Levin-Reid fell eight votes short, 52-47.
“There are two things that I want to accomplish,” Reid told reporters immediately after the amendment vote. “One is to pass a defense authorization bill, but with a deadline dealing with Iraq. Once we put that together, we'll move forward on it.”
SOB doesn’t want to pay for his freedom.

Personally, I think we should pay our military more, much more. They deserve it. Their lives on on the line for our freedom and safety.
Reid and the Dhim o Rats are a national disgrace. They have no shame. Actually, it’s much worse than that.

Well, I am beginning to pray really hard that God Himself begins to remove Harry Reid from authority. It’s really too bad that Tim Johnson was the one who had the physical impairment - most democrats on the hill are mentally and morally impaired and incapable of truly serving our nation!

I wish it were that simple. Limbaugh keeps on telling us that the money that the Feds have is really our money. BS. If it is our money, try getting it back. The money that was stolen from us through taxation is money that is lost forever and we have no say of what should be done with it. Congress will NEVER vote for a pay cut for themselves.

Now, why are you on me? Why are you not taking this to Reid's table and the people of your state. I look at people who elect these kind of traitors as a detriment to my National Security. If you take it personally, either pick up a weapon and stand a post or go give money to Reid's campaign. Your state put him there, I think I should be allowed to ask why. You have effected my security.
And I'll have you know that you are the first person to question my Patriotism. I wish I could give you a prize for that.

Please allow me to ask you this: How did Scarry Reid get elected in your State? Your post did nothing to help the image that I have of the people from your State who continue to put my security at risk by electing Reid.
