If Majority Leader Harry Reid cant start pulling troops out of Iraq, he doesnt want to start paying them any more either.
After an amendment to begin withdrawing U.S. troops from Iraq within 120 days failed to receive the 60 votes needed to proceed, Reid set the entire defense authorization bill aside. By doing so, he shelved a 3.5 percent pay raise for all uniformed service personnel, $4 billion in equipment upgrades and a new program to treat traumatic brain injuries.
To increase pressure on Republicans to support the measure, sponsored by Sen. Carl Levin (D.-Mich.) and Sen. Jack Reed (D.-R.I.), Reid threw the Senate into an all night session on Tuesday evening that lasted through Wednesday morning. Levin-Reid fell eight votes short, 52-47.
There are two things that I want to accomplish, Reid told reporters immediately after the amendment vote. One is to pass a defense authorization bill, but with a deadline dealing with Iraq. Once we put that together, we'll move forward on it.
I lived in Las Vegas for 45 years, Nevada was 97% owned by the Feds at that time. Reid was involved in the land swaps. Las Vegas has turned liberal over the years with the influx of people moving in from California. I moved from Nevada four years ago when my neighborhood became totally hispanic, none could speak English, I was the last “gringo” to leave. I worked in the gaming industry during the Reid (Cleanface) days and remember well when he stole the election in 98.
He & his comrades have handed us another golden weapon to pierce their underbellies - make them look like the jackasses they are (they do, after all, stand proudly with the jackass as their mascot) =
They keep showing their underbellies and we go on about out 'daily lives' with a yawn.
Let them continue unchecked, and our daily lives ain't gonna be worth a plug nickle.
You know the saying: "If you aren't part of the solution, you're part of the problem."
Thats a fair question.
Even more puzzling is why, with their fat allowances do mailmen feel pressured to go postal?
We have soldiers with low pay staying cool and postal workers with fat compensation flippin out L0L
Oh BTW our janitor drives a mercedes
GREAT!
Thank you for informing me in regards to The North American Investment Act (S.3622). I will let him know that I will vote against him in the Primary for this kind of stuff. I probably won't vote against him in the general. At least he supports the war and other issues that I know a Demorat would not support.
I have only been in Texas for a couple years, so I am still learning. I appreciate your input.
Also, I would like to thank you for letting Reid know 40 to 50 times this year. Good job and thanks again.
Now, let's work together and get the word out and bring these commie SOBs down. All of them.
The more it looks like the surge may be making a difference, the more Reid and his vermin cronies panic.
A favorable outcome for the U.S. in Iraq is their worst nightmare.
More likely Iraq will be like Turkey.
Thats fine by me
RECAL THEM ALL
recall, my bad. on me.
I find this attitude unbelievable.
According to you:

WE seem to have forgotten the WE THE PEOPLE are still in the drivers seat.
But we won't be long if we continue to sit back, sigh or grind our teeth, but do nothing.
I forgot the President's colon was being addressed this morning, so he cannot be addressing the nation over the obvious treason transpiring before our very eyes in our nation's capitol.
However, VP Cheney or the congressional GOP big wigs should be all over the tube this weekend doing just what I outlined above.
For instance, where's that hawk-nosed, bird-brained, always-big-on-defense Senator John Warner? Oh, I forgot. He wants a timetable for surrender from the administration.
Maybe he's still sore that Liz orchestrated the supreme pull-out on him. Guess he didn't learn from that.

That's a plan I could go for. If I was positive of it working I would give a years earnings to help get it started and a new bunch seated. The one condition is that there must be term limits. Two terms maximum, then go home with no taxpayer funded retirement plan.
Thank you both for all the email links. I’m starting to feel a little evil myself right now.
What makes Nevada tick? Tourism. What happens if tourists boycott Nevada in sufficient numbers? Right about now, I’m wishing the Mafia still ran Las Vegas. Ol’ Harry would be pushing up daisies. Since that isn’t possible, how can I find an email addy for the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce? Hit them where it always hurts....in the wallet!!!!!
Reid could contaminate a cesspool.
