I hope all of the conservative talk radio people who were against this are now happy. It was clear to me at the time that’s why the deal was getting pushed. But no, thanks to Chuckie Cheese Schumer and his new radio pal.

I went to a republican meeting with my congressman speaking, prior to the election. He said we have no idea how that tantrum against the UAE hurt us. They were actually helping in the WOT and they were so offended at the outrage that they cut us off.
Thanks, folks, thanks alot.

Yeah, fine. Under the deal, they’re our ally until they’re not our ally. Some ally. Except by then, they would have owned the ports and would have had permanent physical presence. IOW, they would have been able to express their non-alliedness any which way they might have wanted to.

I’m not convinced by a single data point.

So, what is the secret hidden reason W was in favor of Harriet Myers? And what is the secret hidden reason W was in favor of the immigration bill?

How are we supposed to know if there is a secret hidden reason or if W is just plain wrong? It’s hard to tell. Are we supposed to trust everything he supports without question?

The United Arab Emirates is our ally just like Saudi Arabia and Pakistan are our allies. When we outsource our intelligence efforts to other countries, everything we get from them will serve their interests ahead of ours.

Handing over our Ports Security to UAE so we can have CIA operatives working within the system? Bullcrap!

It’s like the Pro Amnesty crowd saying our Government cannot protect our borders without giving Amnesty to 12 million Illegals.

Both Republicans and Democrats raised concerns that the deal would affect U.S. port security since al Qaeda had used UAE as a major financial base for its terrorist network.

We were to get info on "key U.S. intelligence targets" Venezuela, China, Pakistan, India and Saudi Arabia.

Pakistan, India and Saudi Arabia don't already cooperate?

Venezuela, China? The PLA defers to the UAE to run Chinese ports? The PLA runs everything through the UAE? Really?

Venezuela? Our CIA is so incompetent that it cannot find people there to cooperate with us?

The Ports Deal fiasco was definately a “Pogo Moment” for the conservative movement.

According to Mr. Scarborough, the administration wanted the deal to go through because the UAE government had agreed to let the United States post agents inside its global port network who could report on world shipping...
They could've done that beforehand and they still could. Why does a port deal have to be arranged?
It's almost like blackmail or coercion.

Hey, I have a better idea- why don’t we groom an AMERICAN company to do the job? Remember entrepreneurship? Remember how we built thousands of ships, tanks and bombers during WW2? Remember how we had focused leadership who galvanized the entire country to accomplish a single purpose?

WE DON’T WANT ANY PART OF GLOBALISM. GET USED TO IT!

To ALL:

I am sorry to have posted this article... one of three. I did not realize there would be such a high degree contention and dissension among “FReepers.” Moreover, I am discovering that to reply to all who “ping” is a very labor-intensive and time-consuming task. Time is something I have no luxury of, and thus this experience will serve as a well-learned lesson.

Respectfully to all,

RTO

"Dubai Ports, in essence, was going to become an agent of CIA," Mr. Scarborough said in an interview.

If you believe that, I have a tomcat that will take care of your canary while you are on vacation.

All of these complex plans and electronics and satellites and surveillance etc. ...

YET THE BORDERS ARE STILL WIDE OPEN!

It is literally “Through the Looking Glass”.
