Years ago when I lived in California I used to pass the strawberry fields every day on my way to work. There were NO porta potties or anything else out there. I haven’t been able to eat strawberries since then unless I grow them myself.

If the country of mexico wasn’t so corrupt and dishonest in almost everything they do they could have a beautiful country. Look at all the coastline they have. Tourism in itself could make them rich. Who in their right mind would travel down there now? There would be no reason for their citizens to come here illegally. I fear that corruption, dishonesty etc will just fester in our cities.

Actually it already does if one were to really take a close look at all the phony id’s, the welfare roles, the identity thefts, and the lawyers getting them lawsuits for everything from disability to personal injury.

The top-to-bottom culture of corruption in Mexico is so blatant that the failed amnesty bill had an entire section devoted to it.

The passages stated that the goals of the bill would ultimately fail unless the corruption in the private and public sectors changed. IOW...centuries of corrupt governance would have to be voluntarily condemned and abandoned by those who currently profit from it (kind of like politely asking the Gambino family to please, please give up the illegal profits and go straight).

Furthermore the masses of mexicans sneaking in here bring this culture of corruption with them, it is, as stated in the bill, part of being mexican.
