RICHMOND, Va. The Michael Vick dogfighting case made its way to the floor of the U.S. Senate Thursday when its most senior member publicly declared his outrage, saying he's witnessed one execution but wouldn't mind seeing another "if it involves this cruel, sadistic, cannibalistic business of training innocent, vulnerable creatures to kill."

“If he treats animals like this with others around I can only imagine what he’d do to a child in his home.”
You can’t equate animals & humans.
At least the guy wasn’t caught speeding in VA.
Here are the three parts that made it to YouTube already.

I only hope opposing fans give this POS a lot of grief this season-seeing as how the the Falcons\NFL are going to allow him to play (here’s hoping his trial is conducted during the season).
Opposing fans need to bark while he’s on the field, the opponents PA system should be playing “Who let the dogs out”-(yeah like that will happen)
And the fans should pelt this guy unmercifully with dog biscuts (which could then be donated to a local shelter after Vick is forced to pick them up). He should be ostracized by opposing fans-but he won’t be.
Sen. Byrd (D)- barbaric I tell ya'.
I suppose since these are Federal charges, there is little chance that Vick is being “Nifonged.” But these days, you never know.
I'm not for animal cruelty but all things in perspective.
As bad as this is, wait until the Fairness Doctrine strikes the airwaves.
Vick should be canned, posthaste!
The fact that someone like this can be a role model for our kids does not bode well for our society.
Killing a dangerous dog makes the fatherless gangstas feel like “real men”. Since they have no clue how a real man is supposed to act, they just make it up.
“Phony media creeps”
“KKK”
“Abortion”
We aren’t talking about any of the above here.
Why can’t some people look at a subject on its face value and make a judgement on that and that alone? What Vick did was truly heinous and he should be banned from the NFL.
Re: You cant equate animals & humans.
You can’t?
So the torture of animals in your mind is perfectly acceptable as man has “dominion” over them?
Sad if you believe that.
Fitting photo! You can’t make this stuff up!
So tell us Dick, what righteous endeavors do you spend your entertainment dollars on?
I'd bet a huge percentage of our military men and women past and present are big sports fans, I guess you would say they are morons.
These topics are not mutually exclusive. Just because someone feels outrage at Michael Vick’s treatment of these poor animals does not mean that they are not outraged at the injustice of abortion. If abortion is the only topic you feel is worth discussing, I suggest you move to another thread.
Old Byrd brain himself is sounding quite pious, isn’t he? Too bad the sheets he wore in the KKK wern’t around to wear on the floor of the Senate for last Tuesdays’ “Senate spend-the-night soiree”, Byrd would have looked good in his sheets!
