Pictures of DF-25 missile revealed for the first time, the medium range missiles which can carry 3 nuclear warheads

on July 15, 2007

[The Ming Bao special news] According to Central News Agency, Sina Net published two pictures of a new missile, "Dongfeng 25" (DF - 25) on its military homepage. This is the first time DF-25 has been revealed to the outsiders, according to the Hong Kong media.

The images of DF-25 are extremely clear, obviously are not faked. Moreover, they show that the missiles stand vertically at the back of their launching vehicle where they are prepared for launch.

DF-25 is one of the China's most advanced second-generation strategic missiles. It was the improved version based on DF-21 ground-to-ground strategic missile, and PLA will deploy them soon.

It is reported that DF-25 has the effective range of 3,200 kilometers, and, when launched inside the Chinese territory, may reach the majority of Asia, including U.S. military base in Guam on the Pacific Ocean. DF-25 uses the high energy solid rocket booster, can carry 3 miniaturized nuclear warheads, and is currently the world's only medium range MIRV missile.

China's second-generation strategic missiles include DF-21, DF-25, DF-31, DF-41, and Julang-2 series. All of them can be launched from a mobile launcher, may carry the nuclear warheads, and are accurate. Moreover, their survival rate is high.

Clinton should be sitting in a six by nine in Levenworth, and his wife likewise.

I most heartily concur, and the failure of the American justice system to get its arms around those two on the one hand, while it pursued an entrapped and more-foolish-than-guilty Randy Weaver to the point of killing his wife, his son, and his dog on the other, is one of the bitter ironies and disappointments of the 1990's.

Why would anyone nuke America with all this wonderful farmland and we don’t have enough oil here, Canada does. The way to go is 1. take out the satellites, after 2010 when we can’t have regular tv, 2. explode EMP’s over each major city. Whoever takes over will need slaves, and there are plenty of illegals here ready to do hard labor.

Agreed. Truth be told, when I realized the Republicans couldn’t recognize Clinton for what he was, I knew the nation’s leadership was out of control. If even they weren’t law and order who was going to enforce it?

Oh goody, new targets!

Too bad we have so few Aegis interceptors to protect the fleet, versus the rather serious number of warheads likely to be fielded by China.

BTW: these particular missile warheads are likely too fast for the existing Aegis design...which is essentially what we were left with after Xlinton, Madeline Halfbright and Strobe "Bald Guy" Talbutt ordered (pursuant their insanely-sought "Demarcation Agreement to the ABM Treaty" in 1997) the Aegis SM-2 missile lobotomized after the design had already been developed...forcing the Navy to perversely spend what little "development monies" it had left under Xlinton to shrink the missile upper stage and slow it down, and limit its range.

Bush has been beseeched by the Navy to undo the Xlinton-fomented damage (and they point to the Chicom threat)...but he never budged...nor justified his refusals. The fix would offer a new upper stage, replacing the puny one with a fullsize stage...the one originally designed and developed! The White House also killed the TBM, Theater Ballistic Missile Defense which also would have had the range and speed to catch these kinds of warhads. Bush had Gordon Englund kill the program the DAY AFTER he announced we were withdrawing from the ABM treaty...

Hence, while committing us to NMD...he defunded likely one of the most important tools to actually accomplish it. And the naval requirement for the TBM has never been satisfied since he terminated it...nominally claiming that the project having exceeded inflation guidelines. So why didn't they rebid for anyone else to do it? Obviously "the fix" was in with a deal to appease Russia and China...we were going to have such a limited NMD system it wasn't a NMD system at all.

The administration is pretending the only real missile threat is from rogue states such as North Korea and Iran. Not realizing just how seriously rogue China and its ally Russia really are...

Unfortunately, Bush's father, George HW Bush and his DefSec Dick Cheney killed the programs most likely to put these threats to rest permanently: Excalibur, the nuclear-pumped X-Ray laser, and buried it under a heap of Lefty-disinformation about it not working. And then he killed off the lesser, but still valuable non-nuclear kinetic interceptors...Brilliant Pebbles when they were on the verge of deployability. All the R&D was squandered. Couldn't have the U.S. invulnerable to strategic blackmail...wouldn't be prudent for the Globalist nannystaters who want the UN to be the guarantors of Global Security.

A group of Airforce officers tried to regroup and redevelop and deploy Brilliant Pebbles as the cheaper and vastly better alternative to the ground-based interceptors (the Xlinton-plan) that GW Bush is fixated on.

Bush had Rumsfeld kill their efforts. At this point, no one should be surprised.

> to shrink the missile upper stage and slow it down, and limit its range.<

Downsizing the armies and international weapon systems was called for by the United Nations many years ago. All nations have been obeying the orders. We’ll see if China restricts the capacity of their military forces now that they have the technology to grow beyond a ground force.

Just maybe Clinton and Bush will see the error of their ways in sharing our technology. The new SECDEF recently said he had no qualms with sharing our technolgy with China. I hope this globalism nonsense doesn’t bite us in the butt big time.

You can not help but loathe all of them over this. It isn’t a DEM vs GOP issue it is a right vs wrong issue and all three presidents after Reagan as well as congress during this time frame are on the wrong side of the fight. As China builds up military wise and Russia sets idle but capable of production, we have people as we speak working in our DOD facilities dismantling not only the machinery but the buildings as well where our weapons were produced. Not even Russia was this stupid. Only we can be the guaranteers of our future and freedom as well as our own national defense.

I agree, but I would note that Congress was bucking Xlinton as best it could on NMD, since he held the Executive Branch, he could...and did...lie and stonewall. Finding compliant military officers to mouth supposed technical justifications for his ideological predeterminations.

Just like W does on border enforcement.

As for the Congress under W, it looks like a lot of the top heads in Congress were not very conversant with Defense issues, and they tended to believe the Administration's cock-and-bull excuses for not getting it done right...and they didn't listen to their own in-house experts warning that W was not being straight with them.

To wit: Rep. Duncan Hunter, and Curtis Weldon...and even Senator Jon Kyl, previously before the Shamnesty Fiasco. Kyl was openly mystified at the complete disinterest of the White House and the Dept of Homeland Security to spend a paltry $14 billion that would greatly improve national preparedness for an immense crippling EMP attack well within the capability of China....

HUNTER INTRODUCES “NUCLEAR SECRETS SAFETY ACT” (Duncan Hunter - 2000)

>>>”The Clinton-Gore Administration has, through fumbling incompetence and short-sighted policies, lost critical defense secrets,” said Hunter. “The recent incident at Los Alamos National Laboratory is indicative of the irresponsibility and disregard this administration has given to protecting America’s national security. This legislation begins to correct the problem.”<<<

The actually investigation is at post 40 of that thread.

I will never have faith in our administration if he doesn’t end up in Levenworth. Or at the end of a rope, like Saddam.

Not to diminish the extent of Clinton’s treason, but I think people put far too much weight on the technology transfer he allowed. Listening to some of my fellow freepers, it seems like the U.S. is the only source of high (or even not so high) technology out there.

In fact, it was even greater than any of us know. He allowed Red China to have our super computers with our defense information on them. You can ask Congressman Hunter about it, because he's the one who told us.
