We have to stop thinking of saving "Canada" or "America" and we have start thinking about saving "Canadians" and "Americans". What is happening is related to the fundamental redefinition of human rights as per the UN charter versus the inalienable rights of the american bill of rights.

If you watch this video and decide that US constitution and bill of rights constitute a better protection for americans and canadians, then I invite you to consider this democratic proposition;
The democratic annexation of canadian provinces in the United States of America, under the existing framework of the american constitution. Sure the rights of americans are currently as much under non-military attack as ours, as is the case in much of the western world; However, this proposition would undoubtably bring back the principles of the US consitution to the foreground, and discussion of this democratic alternative would force the constitution unto the MSM, as this project would generate huge debate on both sides of the border.
Support for annexation in Canada once reached 30%, without this cause having a single penny spent to promote, educate and convince about the advantages. The potential is there. 40% of americans are favorable to such an extension, again without a single penny spent on explaining the mutual advantages of such a Union.
United We Stand, Divided We Fall; In my view this has never been truer then now. Instead of having Quebec 'go it alone' or the west breaking off bitterly, which would change nothing, and actually would only help legitimate the creation of a euro-style supra-state over our heads; Why not simply join an existing union, that is unique in the ideals that the founding fathers put forth;
Sure the american constitution is being scuttled as we speak, yet a democratic annexation movement would bring it back to the forefront of everybody's minds, as americans would have to decide wether then want us in at all or not.
My view for it is a Democratic Annexation Party of Canada (and the corresponding provincial equivalents) campaigning at the federal level so that if elected, it would hold a national referendum that would give it the mandate to negotiate the annexation of provinces as states into the Union, with the possiblity of keeping the Westminster system for those who wish it, basically making the transition as smooth and frictionless as can be imagined.

Our age requires patriots, who defend the interest of their peoples, first and foremost. Capitalist minded folk, tend towards patriotism (guided by principles). Socialist minded folks tend towards nationalism (guided by emotion). Canada is the battleground for this non-military civil war. Let Europe have it their way, but let's fight to reclaim our rights by convincing a majority to adopt this stance.
Hence this overture to the conservative movements of both our great nations, so that we may stand tall where others have bent, and that the light of liberty may continue to shine bright over this vast continent we call home.
