ROFLOL
So you think my sarcastic remark should really be considered?
If you ever had survival instincts, what happened to them?
In a very close race the only Republican outsider who can hurt the Repubs candidate is Ron Paul. Most Libertarians have no place to go but into the Repubs Party. The Dems have become too Socialist for them. Since several elections have been close, a few votes one way or another could decide the out come.
Some effort needs to be directed to Ron Paul not to become Ross Perot#2. He has turned up bigger than most thought possible. He has raised 2.5 million- pretty good compared to the other 2nd tier group.
A small blip almost won the election for Al Gore- 537 votes. If Nader was not in the race then Gore would be President.
Democrats blamed third party candidate Ralph Nader for taking the election away from Gore. Nader received some 97,000 votes in Florida. According to the Washington Post, exit polls there showed that 47 percent of Nader voters would have gone for Gore if it had been a two-man race, and only 21 percent for Bush, which would have given Gore a margin of some 24,000 votes over Bush. Some Democrats claim that had Nader not run, Gore would have won both New Hampshire and Florida and won the election with 296 electoral votes.
Of the 2nd tier candidates Ron Paul has raised more money then any of the others. 2.5 million cash on hand.
Remember the media will back and support Hillary. So they will play up Paul knowing that it will pull votes from the Repubs,
As of now Paul has not decided to run as a third party candidate but with his ego he could decide to show the world how important his views are. That is why I think a little prevention could go a long way. He is so much against our military involvements that since all of the current Repub candidates are for the Iraq War, he may see it as his duty to run as a third party (Libertarian) candidate (which is what he really is). The Dems may help fund him as he could be the stick (Nader) in the wheel spokes that derails the GOPs bid for the White House.
I am not against Ron Paul just his views of how we protect our national interests. All politicians are ego driven no matter what they pretend. One has to have a big ego to put up with all the crap they go though. The higher the office the higher the ego.
I keep replaying the Black Knight scene from Holy Grail in my head...
Maybe time to ride off with my coconuts before they bite my kneecaps off...
In most states, one cannot run “third party” if he has been a candidate in a major party primary.
Be careful what you ask for....
Ping all your Ron Paul-ettes in case they missed this...
Alex Jones (uber-nut-job) Interview
NOTE: Alex Jones believes that 911 was an "inside job".
Alex Jones: Congressman, just out of the gates. Cindy Sheehan yesterday on my show went further than anybody has ever gone. She said, a distinct chance of a staged terror attack or the government allowing that to happen it to happen. Bush is saying he doesnt care what the people want the war will continue. Theyve set up the military commissions act; theyve set up the John Warner defense authorization act. He signed PDD 51, making himself literally dictator he gave himself that power. How much danger are we in now, with the Homeland Security head feeling in his gut we are about to be hit. Republican memos saying they need terror attacks, they need Al Qaeda hit us to be able to continue the war, top military strategists saying it. How much danger are we in of some new Gulf of Tonkin provocation?
Ron Paul: Well, I think we are in great danger of it. We are danger in many ways - the attack on our civil liberties here at home, the foreign policy that is in shambles and our obligations overseas and commitment, which endangers our troops and our national defense. So everyday, we are in worse shape. And right now there is an orchestrated effort to blame the Iranians for everything that has gone wrong in Iraq. And were quite concerned, many of us, that the attack will be on Iran and that will confuse things and jeopardize so many more of our troops, so I would say that we are in much greater danger than we have been even 4 or 5 years ago. Whether it is overseas or even by terrorists here at home, because I just think the policies are seriously flawed.
Gulf of Tonkin Conspiracy propagation via Ron Paul, Cindy Sheehan style
Also, "my guy" is Duncan Hunter. I just like Dr. Paul and I don't like people misrepresenting what he said. It's easy enough to find and his position papers are online and consistent with how he votes.
Unlike someone like Bush who has "serious questions" about a bill like McCain-Feingold but then signs it anyway. Who offers a blatant Amnesty bill, but then claims it isn't.
Bringing up anything off of Alex Jones show should disqualify your idiocy same as Godwin’s Law.
Then calling Ron Paul a nut case is fine!!!!
"Nice" logic. Ron Paul goes on a 911 conspiracy propagator's radio show the day after Cindy Sheehan, and posting a link to it makes me an idiot, "same as Godwin's Law"
Translation:
"I've been pwned!"
I have have no doubt the Paul’s positions and votes are consistent with each other.
Besides, that put them a tad closer to posting on moveon.org after they get bit-canned here for violating the abuse policy.
As you and your ilk are prone to do, you mischaracterize and take out of context what Ron Paul said.
I've already listened to the tape on that and had a full debate with one of your court jester's concerning the fabrications concerning that tape by politico.com, since corrected by the NRO, here:
Robbing Paul of the Truth (NRO Defends Ron Paul from Politico Smears and Lies)
I grew up watching crawfish behavior in South Louisiana.
We call your kind of response as "crawfishing", which is backing up into your hole.
Nice try at spinning, but an excuse from NRO is laughable.
I would think that you anti-Freetraders would NEVER read NRO, but when they throw a bone your way, you are not eager enough to use it.
1) Ron Paul allowed himself to be interviewed on Alex Jone's show.
2) Ron Paul acknowledged Cindy Sheehan's "Gulf of Tonkin" conspiracy
3) Ron Paul and his spinners are in full flame control
No. I just think it makes more sense than anything else you've posted all week.
Thanks for the info- I did not know that
Good, that could prevent Paul from going national although the Libertarians are established in every state so he could still run under their banner by dropping out of the Repubs- remember there has been no voting so one could switch parties before the primaries.
How quaint...
That's the title of the article, not my title.
