More hints of possible war
Jim Bramlett
Jul 18, 2007

Dear friends:

Yesterday I reported two strange happenings amongst civilians in Lebanon and the Jordan Vally that hinted of possible military action planned by Israel’s enemies — evidence that they are preparing to protect their people.

Later, readers reported three other hints of possible soon-coming military action:

1. One reader said, “She (a relative) looked around Beirut, and the situation was the same everywhere. The Syrians have indeed fled Lebanon. What do they know that we don’t?”

2. An Israeli reported that his son, a reserve soldier, has been called back on active duty on July 22. He said that his son and his soldier buddies are a very special unit and when they are called it is important. (July 22 is the day before the 9th of Av!)

3. This is about activity in the U.S., but it may be significant. To protect the writer, I will keep the location confidential. She said that she and her husband own a small trucking company in _______. She said, “Today I fielded calls from brokers saying they needed to move empty containers from all points possible into ________ ASAP. If you are not familiar with the main economy in _______, it is one of the largest bomb manufacturing plants in the USA. Moving empties in means they will be filling them up and shipping full containers out.”

(Note the wording: “ASAP” and the “all points possible.” That speaks of urgency.)

a major Palestinian ground offensive

What does that mean?

They all blow themselves up at the same time?

Thank you for saying that. When I had an opportunity to get my state's new "God Bless America" license plate (it is optional at no additional costs), I didn't feel right about it. I felt that I was making a demand to God and a vain repetition. Also, I was not going to give someone the opportunity to cover or remove the "b" on my tag.

Now before the flaming begins, let me say too that this is just for me. Others who want and have this tag to honor our God is fine with me too. God knows all of our hearts and intentions.

For me personally, if it had said "May" or "Please" God bless America I could have purchased one.

Interesting to be sure, but I have to think the Arabs realize they can’t force a decision militarily.

Too simplistic. Based on past history, they have good reason to believe that military action will force a favorable political result.

But there's more to it than that -- you're operating from conventional logic, whereas that may not apply in this case. You probably need to figure in the militant Islam angle, which is not particularly rational, but is very dynamic.

Syria's motivation to attack would be twofold: first, and probably foremost, is Bashir Assad. He's weak, but wants to be a strongman like his father. Second, Syria is in many respects an Iranian vassal.

I suspect that Iran is de facto calling the shots for the Arabs in the region, and their motivations are at least partly governed by Ahneedajihad's apocalyptic religious beliefs.

Now suppose that Syria really did get Saddam's WMDs. First, Iranian missiles (perhaps tipped by the nukes nobody thinks they have) can supposedly reach Israel. Follow them up with a barrage of chemical weapons from the Syrians... it'd go a long way toward satisfying the ideological goal of destroying Israel.

I seriously doubt that either Egypt or Jordan plan to play in such an attack. They'd probably remain neutral -- I doubt they'd aid Israel directly, but I also doubt they'd attack her.

Which brings us, finally, to Israel. They are a serious nuclear power. An attack such as I described would almost certainly result in the glassification of Amman, Tehran, and a few other locations.

Perhaps the Syrians and Iranians are counting on such a response, as a spur to the rest of the Islamic world for launching a religious war.

Syria may not be ready by next week?...They had better get prepared for more than an attack on Israel. Because when they do, Damascus (I think the world’s oldest city in continual existance) will be destroyed in the night. By morning, it will be no more. IMHO

Syria has an agreement with Iran regarding joint military
efforts, so Iran becomes a factor in this.

Any upcoming war in Israel will not leave us out. We are fighting a common enemy and Israel’s fate is our fate. IMO, the American people and the morons in Congress have had their heads in the sand choosing to disregard the “winds of war.” War has been coming for some time and the DC morons have chosen to play their treasonous games, for example, last night’s disgrace in the Senate. The reality is that we are at war with an enemy that wants us dead as well as Israel gone. Sorry if that doesn’t play well with Pelosi, Murtha, Reid, Snowe, Kennedy, Schumer, and the rest of the DC disgraces.

Agreed, but Muslims put great store in historical anniversaries.
I don’t believe that any of the Arab states have the capacity to attack Israel, but Iran, though not a Arab state, does have the capacity.
One thought, can you imagine the danger Israel would be in if Saddam were still in power?

Your posting is very refreshing. As far as the Palis is concerned, the only major weapons they have are rocks, homemade bombs, and guns.

True, the ones who had either the money or the skills got out a long time ago. The ones we see now are the ones who think they are going back to their homeland. Not any time soon.

The next major prophetic event on God's calendar and found in His Word, in which God notably intervenes on mankind [excepting the rapture which can occur at any time between the present and before the great tribulation]is the War of Gog and Magog found in the book of Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39.

There are a number of reasons God brings about this event. A couple of the main ones are: To put the world and Israel on notice that He's still alive, awake and in control.

Eze 38:23 Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD.

Eze 39:22 So the house of Israel shall know that I am the LORD their God from that day and forward. Some will be convinced permanently some unfortunately only temporarily before returning to business as usual.

Another is to give enough of the people of Israel the desire and the rest [peace] from her local enemies to encourage and enable her to build her temple where it is supposed to be without any interference and to resume Temple Worship. This will be done quickly at first in a temporary structure.

This is the way He did it both times before when the temple was built before that being Solomon's and Zerubbabel's.

This will result in a solution to the Middle East and Muslim terrorist problem that the world can't solve, leading the world to breathe a sigh of relief and a period of temporary but false peace.

Israel will be left as the dominant power in the Middle East with more land than she has had since rebirth in 1948 and that includes some nice oil rich real estate.

From that point on she will begin to turn more to God for her survival than her false allies as she should.

There is much more I could go into based on over forty years of study but it would be quite lengthy.

If we want to know God's plans for our future we need to accept Him as our savior, study all of His Word and pray for tutoring and guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Without these requirements one's understanding of the Scriptures will be severely limited at the very best.

1Co 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

1Co 2:10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

1Co 2:11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

1Co 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

1Co 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

1Co 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

It is true that the prophets of the Bible lived in the past but all of their prophecies where future when first uttered . Some of them came true rather quickly but a large part of them are yet to be fulfilled making them our and our children's prophets.
