Per Fox News O'Reilly Factor
Heres what Daily Kos writer mcjoan has to say about it: Daily Kos: OReillys Big Scoop.
Bill OReilly has discovered that sometimes people say stupid things on the Internet. And hes going to have a big story about it tonight, supposedly.
Hes decided to play David to what he imagines is a corporate Goliath, JetBlue, because theyre one of the sponsors of YearlyKos. This is undoubtedly happening on Murdochs orders: Markos led the way in getting the Democratic presidential candidates to boycott the Fox debate, and were going to be having a Democratic presidential candidates forum at YearlyKos.
So they ambushed JetBlues CEO outside of his apartment last week, demanding to know why he was sponsoring people who are mean. Meaning they cherrypicked the worst of the comments on Daily Kos, many which were probably from GOP trolls anyway, and found a couple of 9/11 conspiracy diaries and are trying to smear the whole of the lefty blogosphere with a handful of kooks whove been banned from the site for being, well, kooks. Speaking of which, I wonder how many more leads OReillys gotten on his big story of last week, the national threat of lesbian gangs?
This is a curious gambit by Fox. Do they really want to get into a corporate sponsor fight? Seems dangerous territory to tread for them. Because if they want to have that fight, we can have that fight.

I’ve never been to KOS. Is it as bad as O’Rielly says? I mean, you could come to FR and cherry pick a few items and claim we are monsters...heck, it’s already been done.
Its not as bad as DU or Huffington,
but its whacked out lefties for sure...
Yes, it is dreadful. Fabrications, lies and slander.
Check out the ad where they put the pitcture of the little girl and say that if we get out of Iraq, we could pay for her insurance and all the rest. Pure emotions and no reason - economic or otherwise.
KOS is the most dispicable place I have seen in Internet politics. They showed pictures of burned Anerican bodies hanging from the bridges in Falujah and celebrated their deaths. It is the single most revolting thing I have ever seen in my life, and frankly anyone that sponsors their event will never get my business - ever.
It is horrid. These are the worst of the worst, and it would be hard to cherry pick since the hatred is so thick. Freepers aren’t anywhere near to what Kos or Huffington is, because of the place they come from. Those that are vile are not really Freepers, I suspect. They are masquerading as right wingers. The worst I’ve experienced is mean spirited sarcasm.
Another reason to boycot Jet Blue.
I’ll never use Jet Blue!
JetBlue’s response (via e-mail):
JetBlue is pleased to sponsor the YearlyKos Convention. This is the largest gathering of bloggers and online communicators, a community of growing importance to any company. By sponsoring the convention, JetBlue does not endorse the diversity of personal views represented at the gathering. Our sponsorship simply makes it easier to get people to Chicago for the event.... Simply put, it’s none of our business why you travel - we just want you to choose JetBlue for our friendly service and comfy seats, and we want you to talk about your experience.
******
Would Jet Blue sponsor a convention for David Duke or the KKK and claim the same thing?
“Bill O’Reilly has issued a Fatwa...”
That say’s it all.
You got it.
Why don’t we get Jet Blue to sponsor a Free Republic Convention? That would be “Fair and Balanced”! ;^)
Another ‘sponsor’ of the loony left’s ‘convention’ of moonbats aka Daily Kos.
‘Robert Greenwald’s Brave New Films is a co-sponsor. Greenwald directed the documentary Outfoxed: Rupert Murdoch’s War on Journalism.’
Which turned out the be a complete lie done ala the Michael Moore film model.
It is as bad. I don’t go there often and they have cleaned up their act some. (As much as a liberal can) I don’t fly Jetblue because of its very public problems in the past. I fly too much to deal with the drama they have been experiencing no matter how low their rates are. My opinion has been for some time that companies do themselves a disservice by funding events and questionable groups. There is no reason for companies like Kraft to fund the Gay Games for example. It is stupid.
The same goes for Ford and others that seem not to understand who the majority of their customers are and it isn’t even about that. The real issue is that it is a bad marketing decision to do anything that will drive away existing loyal customers and lock out potential customers. Any publicity is not good publicity. A smart company wants to appeal to the widest possible profitable customer base. It doesn’t jettison the core customer base so it can marginalize itself as the Hillary Clinton of corporations.
The good thing to come out of this is now all radical lefties will fly Jetblue so I don’t have to hear them going on and on about Global warming and Al Gore.
Fat chance. That’s the point.
