PRO-TROOP SUPPORTERS
ANNOUNCE MAJOR SEPTEMBER PUSH

Supporters of Operation Iraqi Freedom will conduct a nationwide caravan along with more than 2-dozen rallies calling for continued support of U.S. troops based in Iraq in the days leading up to General David Petraeus September 15th report to Congress.

From September 3, 2007 through September 15, 2007 the nation’s largest grassroots, pro-troop organization, Move America Forward (website: www.MoveAmericaForward.org) will lead thousands of supporters in a cross-country effort called the “FIGHT FOR VICTORY TOUR.”

“We’ll launch the cross-country caravan Monday, September 3rd with rallies outside the offices of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid in Nevada and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in California,” said Melanie Morgan, Chairman of Move America Forward.

“The caravan will then continue across the nation until we reach Washington, D.C. for a giant pro-troop rally on September 15th – the day that General David Petraeus, the U.S. Commanding General in Iraq, delivers his report on ‘The Surge’ to Congress,” Morgan said.

“During the cross-country caravan we will stop and conduct pro-troop rallies that will be attended by thousands upon thousands of patriotic Americans who believe that our leaders cannot be allowed to undercut our troops who are bravely serving on the frontlines of the war against Islamic jihadism,” said Robert Dixon, Executive Director of Move America Forward.

The current schedule for the caravan includes pro-troop rally stops in more than 2 DOZEN cities across America including: Carson City, NV - Sacramento, CA - San Francisco, CA – Modesto, CA - Fresno, CA - Los Angeles, CA - San Diego, CA - Yuma, AZ - Phoenix, AZ - Tucson, AZ - Las Cruces, NM - El Paso, TX - San Antonio, TX - Waco, TX - Crawford, TX - Dallas, TX - Oklahoma City, OK - Wichita, KS - Kansas City, MO - Des Moines, IA - Cedar Rapids, IA - Chicago, IL - Indianapolis, IN - Cincinnati, OH - Columbus, OH – Pittsburgh, PA - Washington D.C.

Note...

Move America Forward sent an email out on this last night. It's been in the works for 3 weeks. During that time other groups have recognized the same need and everything's falling together for a giant push on September 15th.

Among the groups involved in MAF's cross-country "Fight For Victory Tour" effort or the September 15th event are:

* Gathering of Eagles
* Vets for Freedom
* OpposeReid.com
* Eagles Up
...and of course the good folks here at... * FreeRepublic.com

I also believe that the Patriot Guard Riders and Military Order of the Purple Heart are on board but since we at Move America Forward haven't yet communicated with them I don't want to put words in their mouths.

If I lived west, I’d do the caravan. Though I live northeast, I will absolutely try to make at least one rally.

This may be our most important battle with the naive view that withdrawal from Iraq will make all of the terrorists go home and live peacefully ever after. What fairy tale land do these liberals live in?

As discouraged as we all are with the tepid actions of the White House, we can’t let that slow us down. I hope everyone will participate in some way.

Email this link to your email list; contribute to MAF to pay for the caravan; attend the caravan stops and travel along if you can; be in Washingotn DC on September 15th for a strong showing that America supports our troops and the war on terrorism.

There is something that everyone can do. We can’t get complacent and be discouraged. It is time to fight because the future of freedom may very well be at stake.

You got it concretebob. Happy to do so, as we've worked with them on a number of efforts including the Crawford Rally for the "You Don't Speak for Me, Cindy Tour" and the "Support Our Troops AND Their Missions" weekend among other events.

We'll be updating the MAF website and also our promotional materials later today and I'll be sure to add DC Protest Warriors.

So now tell me who should MAF link to?

The DC Chapter Blog - http://dcprotestwarrior.blogspot.com/

The national website? - hq.protestwarrior.com

or.... ???

Let me know and I'll pass it on.

Maybe they are not leaving us out, but challenging us to sign on. The Home of CentComm is on board. Count me in from Tampa.

Because we can’t humanly make it to every corner of the country. The “These Colors Don’t Run” caravan in March that teamed up with the Gathering of Eagles did go through the Southeast. We had a blast there and I wish we were going back again.

We talked about starting a separate caravan in the south that would meet up with us in either Texas or Indiana, Ohio or D.C.

That would be a great thing to have happen.

A few of the routes sketched out in the early days of planning had the southeast - including stops in Jacksonville and Tallahassee. It just didn't make it in the final settlement.

Let's see what we can work out to have a southern leg merge with the rest of the good folks who will be taking part.

Not sure I can support this. It’s time to give into the terrorists and come home (sarcasm)
