Mosque stirs racial passion in Germany
While Muslims see a £20m building for Cologne as test of a nation's tolerance, critics fear the rise of a parallel, repressive society

This weekend the mosque is overcrowded, the cafe grubby, the social centre and offices scruffy and uncomfortable. Not for long, hopes Kilic Iqbal, 27, who works for the Turkish religious and cultural association that runs the complex. 'It will be beautiful, but much more too,' said Iqbal. 'The Muslims of Germany have been here 40 years, there are more than 120,000 in Cologne, it will show we are part of society.
'It' is Germany's biggest Islamic centre, to be built in a suburb of the cathedral city. Costing £20m, raised through bank loans and donations from 884 Muslim associations, its focal point will be a huge mosque complete with 183ft-high minarets, a glass dome and enough space for up to 4,000 worshippers. Next week the plans for the project will be finalised and submitted to the city council. But though almost every party has approved the project in theory, the construction is still controversial. 'People are scared,' said Fritz Schamma, the Christian Democrat mayor. 'But the mosque will be built, that's certain. For me it is self-evident that the Muslim community needs a prestigious place of worship.'
Not everyone is of the same opinion. Last week the mosque project hit the headlines again against the background of a major row over a government-organised conference of 'national integration', the main plank of Chancellor Angela Merkel's strategy to integrate Germany's 15 million immigrants. These people are populating countries and cultures that they despise, all over the world. They do not believe in Western law, which to them is an insult to Allah, for Allah's law is the only law.
It is impossible to integrate people like that. They will settle and populate, get elected to anything they can be it school boards or city counsels, and they WILL convert Western society into Islamic society unless they are stopped.
I cannot believe what is happening before our very eyes, nor can I believe the lack of self-preservation that has permeated the West.

Correct. More and more I find that people do not understand the difference between race, ethnic group, tribe, nationality & culture.
Apparently, no one teaches anthropology anymore and few people understand that basically, there are only three races.

That’s what the left has done to the West. Unforunately, a significant number of the populaton of the West is either gullible as hell or wearing blinders, or some combination of the two. We are committing cultural and national suicide, and we have only ourselves to blame. We have allowed the left to dominate the discourse, and we have to deal with the consequences until enough of us start to SERIOUSLY fight back. Our lives, and certainly the lives of our children, are at risk.

Appears “legit”, I don’t see how you can not let them build the mosque unless Germany declares Islam a threat to their national existence and simply bans it.
I don’t think the mosque is the problem or even Islam, Europe in general is “lost”, they have nothing to offer their people since they de facto declared Christianity “non gratis” status.
Secularism and Atheism offers nothing for the soul (which of course they deny), and the end result: Europe and the defunct USSR respectively.
You may think the Muslims can do here what they did to Europe, IMHO, won’t happen. Too many Christians here, there are not enough Secularists and Atheists to gut out the country’s soul
Anthropologists (presently) say there are five human races. (Or, some are saying there are no races at all.)
I would want to see a detailed accounting of those donations and loans.
Is Saudi Arabia contributing or guaranteeing 19.9999 of the 20m directly or indirectly?
The failure of liberals’ multiculturalism
Not likely. When Muslims build their mosques in towns or cities that have churches, whenever possible they make sure that the minaret is higher than any church steeple. It is their way of visibly demonstrating what they consider to be the superiority of Islam over Christianity. I have seen this in numerous places in the Middle East, in areas that are traditionally Christian. They are very adament about this.

I’ve said for a while, that I expect we will see concentration camps in Europe again, before it’s over, and quite possibly in my lifetime (I’m late-40s). The only question being, Who will be running them?
It would have to be the Europeans...the Muslims just slaughter everyone right away.

The Europeans have a long and sordid history. I often wonder if they still have it in them.
