Is the US the instrument of God’s action against the anti-Israeli forces? Just wondering.

Russia is clearly lined up with Iran whenever the word comes down. The reactionary forces with Putin and his ilk are just waiting for the big day as they can no longer stand how far Russia has fallen from being the big bully in the neighborhood.

A number of missiles have already been shipped from Syria into Lebanon. Of course we don’t have an exact count but the Israelis have a rough estimate. They and the useless UN “peacekeepers” who will evacuate once the fighting begins.

A pox on those who now sit in positions of leadership in Washington, single mindedly seeking to declare irrelevant the magnificent blueprint our beloved Founders fashioned for us. Because of the trust that has been placed in them, and because of the courage and sacrifice represented by those who went before, the degree of evil in Washington is, in an historic context, in some ways even more pernicious than that found in any Islamic terrorist mindset.

Well said, joanie.

I listen to the teachings of Christ and have relationship with Him in spirit. I remember Christ admonishing us to pay attention and these warning signs occur but the end is not yet, what the catalyst of the ‘end’ is (this end has a new beginning for earth and mankind). I agree the timeframes are in decades or even entire centuries. My understandings and perhaps yours comes from reading the bible cover to cover and also having the gift of prophecy. No, it is not centuries to these events it is no longer even decades. The event of the regional war Ezekial mentions is within this decade. The second event is a global war as described in Revelations, with the catalyst being the four angels unbound at the river Euphrates (which goes flows between Iraq and Iran). So Iran is the key whom starts the regional war and also Iran/Iraq the key to setting other chains of events mentioned in Revelations in motion. I do not live out of fear but out of faith.

That is tragic that Olmert is making Christians leave. No, God is not one to be mocked. The last time the Jews turned their back on God they got invaded and trampled on for 3000+ years as Daniels had prophecied until 1948. This long time period of being trampled on by the Gentiles is over but now we see them turning their back on God and righteous, just principles. They have caused themselves to be weak and have lost wisdom. As Ezekial 38 says God glorifies Himself but putting a hook into Gog and Magog to come and attack Israel. Such a force will be deadly using WMD and I have a feeling a lot of people and leaders will suddenly rekindle their faith as they once did when surrounded by the Phillistines or Assyrians for example.

I agree with your assessment about America/scripture and what you call retribution. I do not feel we will be invaded, just simply nuked and taken out of the world stage. Corrected and taken down a peg is my feeling and that comes from spirit. I see the character of God. The majority of our population believes in God even if the ACLU and other groups backed by left-wing politicians are trying to take Him out of our culture entirely. Based on this character and scriptural history, I see God saving His own such as instructions of what His people should do during the Babylonian empire to survive or Christ warning His disciples about fleeing Jerusalem when they saw the Roman armies surround it and the withdraw.

Hmmm. Very well could be. At least in the bible there were nations such as Persia & King Cyrus was ordered by an angel to go and send the Israelites home from captivity and to rebuild the temple. However, our elites have started to become worse then some nations around us. We are due for a correction and unfortunately many people suffer for the actions of their leadership. This would especially make sense if We the People vote them in...

As serious as rain. Long term Christians are being forced out of the country. Many charities set up to help Israel are suffering large losses of their personnel. ICEJ has lost almost 50% of its staff in the last couple of years.

One must keep in mind that most Israeli’s do not have a clue this is going on, it is because the Omert government hates all people of faith. They are putting the screws to the Orthodox Jews too. There are always long lines at the Visa office, filled with Orthodox as well as Christians. There really is no friction between the Jews and the Christians, we all get along just fine in most cases.

A secular government is a nightmare, not just because of its foreign policies.

My sentiments, exactly.

As for the civilian casualty count: Who determines who are civilians in a place where men, women and children are known to be mad bombers at one time or the other and none wear a uniform or anything else to distinguish the militants from the alleged non-militants?

I think you make a good point. At times there will be gray areas but in the case of “civilians” living in southern Lebanon amidst the Hezbollah are not innocent. They’re asking for it because they know what the Hezzies are up to and what Israel may do in time of battle.

...the rapture clearly comes between the sixth and seventh seals...

I don't think so. The picture of the sixth seal is the long prophesied salvation of Israel, and the fulfillment of its role God gave to them from the beginning which they failed - to evangelize the world. Rev 4:1 says "After this I looked, and behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me: which said, Come up hither...". This is what I believe to be a picture of the rapture and is supported by many scriptures including Matt 24:31, I Cor 15:52, I Thess 4:16.

A little more if you care to read on...

I pray this is received in the spirit it is given. I believe the spirit of God's Word regarding the end times is about comforting his people, as, for example, in I Thessalonians 4 & 5. Regarding the rapture, "comfort one another with these words" (4:18) and a very strong statement, "For God has not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ" (5:9) and then again, "comfort yourselves together and edify one another" (5:11).

The tribulation is "the great day of his wrath" (Rev 6:16-17). By the fourth seal, one quarter of the population of the whole earth is dead (Rev 6:8). There is no comfort, nor is it scriptural, in believing that God will make us go through his wrath in the tribulation, whether in part or in whole, though some Christians hold to this. It's OK, because God will do what he will do, but the Holy Spirit was given as the Comforter, "to show you things to come" (John 16:15). "Consider what I say; and the Lord give you understanding in all things" (2 Timothy 2:6-8).

...America after the NAU...

...soon-coming 7-year biblical apocalypse. And those that know the Lord won’t be around to see it.

I’ll be here.

Although I believe your sincerity, I don't believe the Lord wants you to be "left behind." Otherwise, he wouldn't exhort us multiple times to "be ready." The picture the Lord gave us in his word about the tribulation is that of the time of Noah (Matt 24:37, Luke 17:27) and the time of Sodom's demise (Luke 17:29). God rescued Noah and Lot from total devastation. Jesus is saying Noah's ark and the angels ushering Lot out of Sodom are pictures/types of the rapture. God could not execute judgment on Sodom until Lot was out of there. When Holy Spirit speaks to us in dreams and visions, He never contradicts God's Word, the Bible.

More below extracted form an earlier post if you want to read on...

"For God has not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ" (I Thess 5:9). The tribulation is "the great day of his wrath" (Rev 6:16-17). By the fourth seal, one quarter of the population of the whole earth is dead (Rev 6:8). After the sixth trumpet, half the world is dead. Whoever's left is killed at Armageddon (Rev 16:14, 16:16, 19:21). (The only ones left are the Jews God has hidden in Petra).

By God's mercy, many are saved during the 1st three and a half years but they're all martyred. However, there's nothing heroic in God's Word about missing his coming because his wrath and judgment are not meant for his people.

That’s like saying Iran “doesn’t really like Israel.”

Or, like saying I have marked 600 super-models for my conquest list....

Yes, first comes the wrath of the nations but then God’s own’s wrath comes. The description of the events following the war are what you mentioning for trumpet blasts. I have seen no scriptual evidence supporting a rapture before the final great war, the mark of the beast where we are instructed to not take it or be part of God’s wrath (post war). Believe what you will, some of us will be martyred and some slain during this war. As Christ admonished, I fear Him that can kill my spirit, not those can kill the body.

I agree with your scriptual foundation that in the very end, God preserves His own, but did Noah suffer? I am sure, his era was filled with violence as scriptures tell us. How about the Jews whom were led into slavery to the Babylonians or the destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans? We are told in Revelations that the time period of martyrs of our day must occur until the blood of the saints crying out for justice is fulfilled. That means to me that we will suffer for part of this. I do not want to be a martry or suffer. Christ didn’t either and asked if their was another way on the night He knew torment and death was approaching.

I have a fair amount to say about this because, for whatever reason (not apparent to me yet), I believe the Holy Spirit has given me wonderful blessing and understanding about the end times and what God's Word says about it.

I try to share only that which is helpful and relevant to the people and discussion at hand. The foundation for our Christan lives, I believe, is to know God as a good God and his overflowing, never-ending, unconditional love and grace towards us. Some mistake this to be contradictory to the reality of trials, persecution, and suffering in our lives, but careful reading of the New Testament (ex. 2 Cor, 1 Peter, James, etc,) as well as the OT (Job, Psalms, etc.) shows that God has great purposes for difficulties and suffering in our lives. His purposes are entirely benevolent towards us (Eph 2:7).

But God's benevolent purposes change to wrath at the onset of the 7-year Tribulation, which I've referenced scripture, he does not intend for us. This again is good news. The cross is a plus sign not a minus sign.

Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things (2Tim 2:7).

God Bless.
