The dems will have a field day if Fred wins the nomination. All his years of lobbying are filled with juicy attack points. For example the attempt to shield asbestos companies from litigation, or this issue.

The Dem/media plan will be to stay on the attack for the whole presidential election against Thompson with one shady lobbying story after another. Forcing the Thompson campaign onto the defensive for the campaign.

I’m sure they would attempt it. Any GOP candidate will be subject to the dems mining operations. But what we can’t have is an untruthful candidate.

I have posted this several times: The Pubbies better know every skeleton in their nominee's closet, because Team Hillary will.

Hillary is also an attorney. Most politicians come from a legal background. So I don't think it will be a campaign issue. Other things will eventually come up.

I think it will be a harder sell than the RATS and their media handmaidens realize. His lobbying career was a long time ago (have you noticed how McCrazy has been spared talk of his long-ago Keating Five scandal?). More important, normal people have far more respect for corporations than these idiots realize. They don't see it as a character flaw if you lobby for a big successful company; they're impressed that a big successful company thinks you're good enough to represent them.

The Swift Boat issues stuck to Kerry despite being very old because military sins are another story entirely.

The only “field day” the Dems will have after Fred wins the GOP nomination will be to get their butts kicked off of the playing field.

Hill’s high negatives against Fred’s much lower negatives. Her shrill fingernails-on-a-blackboard screech against Fred’s smooth-as-12-year-old-bourbon deep, mellow voice.

Hill’s for big socialist government, higher taxes, illegal amnesty, abortion on demand, abandoning our friends in the mideast, ignoring the WOT and hoping it will go away, grabbing your guns and taking away your property for the good of the state.

Fred’s for smaller government, lower taxes, secure borders, SCOTUS judges who will send Roe back to the states, victory in the mideast, killing terrorists, protecting your RKBA and defending your property rights.

No contest. McGovern-type landslide.

Her Senate record versus his? Fred wins!

Her past versus his? Voters will be reminded of crooked land deals, missing Rose law firm records, Travelgate, Whitewater, Monica & other bimbo eruptions, obstruction of justice, loss of Bubba’s law license, a lot of people who perished under strange circumstances, Roger Clinton’s nose candy, socialized medicine, rape charges, etc. The Hildabeast loses hands down!
