I would prefer they tear down a few!

Buy the property then you will be free to take them down.

People who show no respect for the property rights of others, deserve little respect in return.

i know the wife of a retired secret service agent from the 60’s. The general consensus was that she was a wonderful lady, their favorite first lady.

They did not care for the president.

I suppose I knew it at one time or another, but she was born two days before my mom.

I always liked her. She had a lot of class, a very gracious First Lady.

She was a polar opposite to LBJ.

The nation will always remember her for the “Beautify America” program she supported.

That's what I love about Free Republic: the jokes!

My mistake.

After a quick search I see
that she sold her majority interest in Haliburton to George Soros.

Sorry!

"A Classy Lady, Texas will remember her every Spring"

Indeed!

For those who don't know, Lady Bird had the Texas Department of Highways spread wild flower seeds all over Texas and each Spring Texas is covered in Bluebonnets and Indian Paintbrushes. It's beautiful!

“The woman deserved a medal for living her life with that evil sonofabitch.”

Wasn't it her family's money (Cleburne?) that helped get him elected?

I'm torn between her good works and the fact that she could MAYBE have had some kind of good influence on him and didn't!

Wonder what the effect he had on Vietman is having today on Iraq.

did you update wikipedia?

No, I'm not the one.

A look at the page's edit history shows that the page was updated to reflect her death at 21:35 GMT, or 16:35 CDT, 17 minutes after the event.

They should put up a bill board in her honor

Part of her Beautify America program was to cut down and control the number of billboards on interstates and highways.

It will be amusing watching all the big name Democrats trying to say nice things about a nice lady who’s funeral they’re only attending because she was married to the guy they were marching against 40 years ago. They haven’t changed but their words sure will. W will be about the only class act at the funeral and he’ll receive zero credit for it from the MSM.
