Only if they quit using it. I quit a LONG time ago. In fact, don’t remember when I ever did use it. But I thought it.

As long as I hear it used all too frequently in the African-American community? Nope.

"Sticks and Stones...."

Burying words? Yea, that is a serious solution.

Actually, the funeral will increase the use. People talked more about John Ritter after his. I hadn’t even heard of Kurt Cobain or River Phoenix until their funerals. Look what Elvis’ funeral did for him!

he newspapers can have a long obit, retrospectives, and yearly reminders. Also, relatives (wop, kike, frog, towel-head, etc.) will be invited to respond to queries. No, the word is now immortal, along with James Dean, Marilyn Monroe and Elvis Presley.

In any event, aren’t we supposed to say “nothing bad about the dead?”

As far as I can see the "Hollywood PC Rulebook" defines the appropriate use of the N-Word as follows:

OK (and if fact encouraged) if and only if you are black.

Political suicide if you are not.

That's the way I see it.

It will not work because African Americans use the word mostly and everyone knows that does not apply to them. Remember Tavis Smiley himself says they are an emotional people and that excuses anything they do.

With liberals and rappers alive and kicking, the word will be raised from the dead.

Looks more like a desperate move on their part to attract attention, and raise money. It’s getting alot of free advertising. If anything it’s probably added to the use of the word by the mere fact of this being a story.

Is this a bilateral funeral or are they going to still call themselves it too? Idiots

I’m sure the top 10 Rap albums will still contain the “N” word as well as “ho” and “bitches”. Instead of this meaningless symbolism the NAACP should have Bill Cosby as their headline speaker and be pushing his agenda for African Americans to clean up their own act.

Somehow, I don’t think the funeral from an outdated, racist organization will have any effect on the big money making “artists” who say that the word is part of their culture.
