AT least 10 militants have been killed and another 15 injured in a commando raid today on a radical mosque in the Pakistani capital, the military said.
We have reports of ten militants dead and 15 injured, Major General Waheed Arshad told a private television channel.

Operation against Lal Masjid begins
Updated at 0445 PST ISLAMABAD: The massive operation has been started against Lal Masjid and Jamia Hafsa.
According to ISPR statement, the operation against Lal Masjid management has been started.
Pak Army Spokesman Maj Gen Arshad Waheed said that the operation from three sides of Lal Masjid premises has been started.
He said that security forces would try to enter the Lal Masjid premises.
Security forces have taken Lal Masjid and Jamia Hafsa in besiege and sounds of explosions and intense firing are being heard from Lal Masjid site.
According to Geo News, 22 blasts were heard. The whole area is shivering and the air is permeated with smoke and fire.
Security forces said that they had orders to launch the operation as soon as the dialogues failed.
The security forces have tendered last warning to the people present at Lal Masjid.

Commandos enter Lal Masjid
Updated at 0525 PST ISLAMABAD: Pak Army Spokesman Maj Gen Arshad Waheed said the commandos have entered Lal Masjid and Jamia Hafsa and now they are present at Lal Masjid rooftop.
Talking to Geo News, he said that militants are firing back.
He urged the people living in nearby houses not to come out of houses and on rooftops.
Maj Arshad said the operation against Lal Masjid and Jamia Hafsa started at 4 am and still underway till the writing of this news story.
Pak Army Spokesman said the operation will last until the militants present at Lal Masjid and Jamia Hafsa are brought under control, adding that loss of human lives is quite possible.
Eight people who tried to escape amid intense firing have been arrested.

"Forced to bow down, my martyrdom certain": Ghazi
Updated at 0620 PST ISLAMABAD: Lal Masjid Naib Khateeb Abdur Rashid Ghazi Tuesday morning said that some ministers wanted him to bow down.
Talking to Geo News on phone, he said that federal minister for Religious Affairs Ejazul Haq tried to make him bow down by threatening to conduct the operation against me.
Ghazi said, "I said to Ch Shujaat that kill us, but people will not allow you go in peace."
Commenting on ulema's participation in the process, Ghazi said, "Ulema expressed fear and they did not want to take any stand; they should have sided with the truth."
Maulana Ghazi said, "We did not commit any crime, for which we are being punished so tremendously; the government is using naked aggression with reckless blind force against us."
"There were only 14 klashankovs with us; with these weapons, we resisted for eight days," Maualan said adding, "His 30 associates held back the security forces and gave them tough time; we are three persons here containing the security forces."
He said, "If some stand is taken, then you can fight for it."
"In talking to ulema, I acceded to the handover proposal in front of media so that the whole world may have a look at that how many weapons are there that we possess; this was my last conversation with them", adding, "I put forward this condition because they (government) have already been deceiving and have killed many mujahideen."
"Certain people are putting our army to wrong usage; I ask them not to defame this army, as this the army of mujahideen," he remarked.
Commenting on the Silence Operation against him, Maulana Rashid said , "This is gross injustice; the people conducting the operation are American agents and carrying out this operation on USA bidding," adding, "Now I am sure to be martyred soon."
Giving his message, Maulana Ghazi said, "The prevalent system is creating problems, where some families are in possession of powers and afflicting everybody with misery," adding that, "These problems will stay unresolved until the Islamic system is established."Sure, scumbag. It's all Bushes fault!

I suggest we ask the Paks just how to delete all the Sadr, Al Q followers in Iraq. Whatever they are doing, let us do it there before the anti-war boobs surrender and allow them to come here.
