Fred Thompson is going to present a problem for a mainstream media that is used to reporting on political candidates who enjoy the affections of younger women – just as long as their wives don't find out.

The media isn't quite sure how to handle a man who has a comprehensive past with the ladies, is probably running for office and yet isn't busy herding more illicit humps into his closet than an Abu Dhabi camel smuggler with the cops banging on the front door.

Back in his single days, Thompson date

What about Kuninich n his wife thats 30 myrs younger than him...

KookSpinach is polling at 1%. No reason to focus on his tall British tongue-pierced trophy wife.

But you can’t refute my point.

You do not seem to have one.

like i said, i think they are a lovely moonbatty couple and i wish them many years of wedded bliss. the man is never going to hold meaningful office anywhere, so he may as well be happy!

If you notice, in the article, he was ‘paraphrasing’ the New York Times hit piece on Fred and his wife.

I’d like to see Mrs. Thompson and Mrs. Kucinich in a “runoff.”

You know, getting nasty isn’t really an effective way to argue. I really do think that her way of dressing will turn off some people. They expect a certain reserve in a first lady. If she were a democrat candidate’s wife, I suspect you would be the one making the point.

Grover Cleveland was 48 when he was sworn in as President, and about a year later he married a 21 year old.

That’s a 27 year difference...

i suppose there are people shallow enough to discredit a political candidate based on his wife’s decolletage, but serious minded, thinking people won’t stoop to that.

The New York Times never had a problem with a sexual predator in the White House and hasn’t made an issue of Dennis “Dracula Returns” Kucinich and his younger wife.

I think they will have a hard time making this a campaign issue.

Oh. You’re right. Those of you who disagree with me do so because you are infinitely smarter and deeper. My apologies.

It is a shame that the Boy Mayor who destroyed Cleveland even gets elected dog catcher let alone to Congress.

I really do think that her way of dressing will turn off some people. They expect a certain reserve in a first lady.

So if she shows up at a campaign appearance in the Hollywood dress, please, have at her. Have a ball.

But at the time, she was a private citizen and her husband had not even been mentioned as a presidential candidate.

If she were a democrat candidate’s wife, I suspect you would be the one making the point.

What would make you say that? You think I share this petty prudishness but only on a partisan basis?

You were saying something about "nasty?"

We just aren’t used to knowing that much about a first lady’s ta-tas.

Better to see Jeri Kehn Thompson's "ta-tas" than Hillary's.

so you would find that a basis to discredit a candidate? because if you do, i will take issue with you. as a fellow lady lawyer, i don’t claim to be any deeper or smarter than you and i admitted that there will be stupid people who discredit candidates bc they look old, they have a young wife, or because they have a southern accent. people use all manner of criteria to discredit candidates, that doesn’t make them legitimate.

the idea that his mother-in-law is 4 years younger than him is a little creepy.

Nah..that's ok. If his mother were 4 years younger, THAT would be creepy.
