New Seven Wonders of the World named

The original seven wonders of the ancient world were selected by the Greek philosopher Philon more than 2,000 years ago.

The Pyramids of Giza are the only one of the original wonders still standing.

They have been given honorary status in addition to the new seven wonders, after Egyptian officials complained that it was undignified that the pyramids had to compete in an online poll.

The Statue of Christ Redeemer must be a bit of an irritant to libtards and islamderthals.

I'll try my hand at this:

Dallas Cowboy Stadium

the Rocky Statue in Philly

the Japanese airport built out of the ocean

the IJN Yamato (didn't Yamamoto call it one of the "wonders of the world?" And he wasn't being complimentary!)

Taco Bell world headquarters in Anaheim

the Twin Towers in Malasia

Pam Anderson in her "Baywatch" years

Two of my personal favorites would be the system of locs and canals between the Atlantic and the Great lakes and the Mackinaw bridge.

The Queen Mary 2 lost it to the “Freedom of the Seas”. I guess they need a re vote, how does one go about impeaching a ‘Wonder’?

Statue of Christ Redeemer in Brazil

I've never been in Brazil. Is it really marvelous that more people voted for it instead of St. Peter basilica? Or Lula told his people to vote again and again?

I checked out DUmmie Land yesterday and found a thread on this topic. At least a half dozen posts screamed bloody murder in disgust that the Christ the Redeemer statue was nominated. One or two posters referred to it as 'that bleeping thing in Brazil'.

Talk about contempt for Christianity!

I've seen both Christ the Redeemer and St Peter's and could enthusiastically vote for both.

The libs are trying to make the best about the Christ statue - in the Ventura County (Red) Star today it said that the statue symbolizes the friendly people of Brazil welcoming people with open arms. Not Jesus doing that, of course!
