Bill Kristol wrote a good article too.

Of Senators and Soldiers.

The soldiers think they can win. Some Senators lose their nerve.

Very enjoyable ending to the Fox panel. Kristol is right. If the President is going to pull things out of the ditch he’s going to have to drop the new tone thing once and for all, and Ed Gillespie is just the guy to help him with that.

I was glad to see Santroum come off the bench this week swinging. Good to see him back in the game.

I’m also a big Brit fan. I was surprised to see in the recently released CIA “family jewels” papers than Brit was surveiled due to being a “leg man” for former muckraking columnist Jack Anderson. I’d like to hear more about those days. Maybe Brit will write a book (or maybe he already has).

“restoration”? Restoration to fraud, criminal misconduct and sexual peccadillo’s in the Oval office? Restoration to a Do Nothing about anything anywhere Foreign Policy? To a DC machine dedicated to the daily lie rather then the tough decision?

The Big 3 networks do not make profit off their news. They all lose money and were only there to bring people to the networks and hope they stayed for primetime shows that do make profits.

There is no motivation to cater to the viewing public so the only goal of ABDNCBS is to get Rats elected who will promote their commie utopia.

Pray for W and Our Troops

That looks like the Poll

I know I’m bias and can’t stand Conyers ... but I have to say that he looked and sounded like a real dofus on Stephi’s show

Exactly, Johnnie. I say bring it on. Whoever the Republican nominee is, we can point to the horrors of the Clinton presidency and just hammer the heck out of them.

I’m going to TRY to watch Woffie on CNN...don’t know how long I will last. Woofie’s breathless reporting drives me bonkers.
But he will have segments on Scooter (with Arlen and Leahy, gag me with a spoon) and with Lugar on his cut and run attitude.

First up, however is Maj General Rick Lynch, who has pretty much taken the cut and run senators to task. Woffie says his comments have created a fire storm; in fact, the General is merely speaking the truth. In woffies mind, the truth creates a firestorm.

Questison to the general: How much more time do you need?
General: Well woffie, why is timing all you are intested in, I need July, Aug and Sept to clear the baddies, but the hold piece is gonna take longer. Timing is not the issue, victory is the issue..although that is not the General’s words, that is my interpretation of them.

Question: What about the iraqi’s? When are they going to be capable?
General: In my battle space, the Iraqi’s are doing just fine; they are capable and confident, but there are not enough of them there yet. We need more Iraqi’s stepping up to the plate, they are, but it takes time.

Question: Even as you undertake these milops; the dissent is gaining here in DC (stupid senators don’t have a clue)
General: Well, everything takes time, the surge has only been up and running for three weeks when we got the full contingent of troops. The senators need to understand war is not a 24 hour operation. He talks about how the Iranians are fighting in his battle space, by proxy, with their weapons.

Woffie: how do you stop the Iranians?
General: We have to block the flow of munitions into Iraq. I wish he had said we need to drop some bombs in Iran....and then woffie asks: are you gonna go into Iran? The General says NO; we need to just stop them from coming into Iraq.

Woffie: Last night you had a battle with AQ?
General: Duh! We are fighting the enemy; one of my magnificent patrols took action and killed about 15 of the bad guys. I really like this General, he should speak out more.

Woffie: How do we stop the bombers?
General: We are trying to do that, but it takes time. Talks about how evil the enemy is, they just want to kill.

Woffie: Batiste testified in June and said the military are at a breaking point, blah, blah, blah. Is the military at a breaking point?
General: BY NO MEANS! Reenlisted 500 on 4 July; our troops are the best and there is no breaking point.

Woffie: How worried are you that the stupid senators don’t have the balls to win? (my paraphrase)
General: The strategy is exactly right, what we are doing now. The Iraqi’s know we are doing right by them, and they want us to help, but it takes time.

I really like this General, he should be on the air a LOT more.

(Sorry for the long post).

Katrina thinks that Conyers hearings are important regarding the pardon process; Lowrey talks to Katrina: “with all due respect” which translates to: “honey you are so full of it”! HA

Katrina Hoofinmouth (I like the name you gave her) says that she hopes that Conyers hold Bush & Cheney in contempt of Congress

Lowrey (imo) is doing a horrible job on this panel

(Sorry for the long post).

No apology needed. I was watching this fine general and you got the story exactly right.

Great post.

Our media seem to thrive on digging the dirt regardless of political persuasion even if their agenda is often left wing.

Hopefully, they will get interested in Mark Malloch Brown.

Spector is a waste of time, but he does seem to be saying that he will give General Patreaus time and he will wait until he gets a report from Patraeus in September.

Woffie mentinos the republicans who are dissenting, all of whom are up for reelection, a fact that Woffie doesn’t seem to mention. Spector likes what General Lynch is saying. I’m kind of surprised.

LOL, tongue in cheek, Spector tells Woffie, that this is a decision, regarding support for the war, is one that should not be made on a sunday talk show (even though your’s is very important, and then snickers).

Leahy is just flat out anti-american, anti-war, anti-victory, anti-everything. It costs to much, its too hard, blah, blah, blah.
