That’s the problem with you Fred people. instead of posting a reasoned response to a legitimate question like advance did, you go into full on attack mode against whoever poses a question about your candidate. This is more about the ideology of the man that we chose to represent us, not his name.

I think you have gotten a reasoned response several times in this thread alone. Plenty of evidence and analysis has been presented to refute your assertion. Perhaps you have a different definition of "reasoned."

Forget the names, forget who is running for what office, and go read the allegations against... call him "John Doe"... and read the comments on those allegations. It is easy to conclude the allegations are false. To conclude otherwise just demonstrates your prejudice.

I guess I should have been a little clearer and said as declared candidates.

OK, but I gotta tell ya, I can't really understand what difference that makes. Declared or not, Fred Thompson is running for President, and I think everybody including you knows that.

...and senators don't win the White House

nor do representatives or mayors.

listen, most fred backers look at what he has said, they like what they hear, they look at the rest of the republican field, and then support Fred because they see him as the most electable conservative. all freepers are free to do the same, some have made other choices, such as Hunter, or Romney etc. But those of us that have decided to back fred, did the calculus and decided he is the most electable conservative. it is fine to sit and dream about the perfect candidate, but unfortunately we have to pick from those who are actually running. and yes, fred is running.

Nope. Then again, if I was a candidate running for president and the LA Tiimes accused me of being an abortion lobbyist, my reply would be a great deal stronger than "Gee, you know what, I don't ever remember doing that."

That's either senility, or they are weasel words. Take your pick.

Another possibility is that FRed realizes that the sniping has just begun and that he intends to run his own campaign and not be led around by those who want him to fail.

This would be Fred...the same candidate who’s hired an open homosexual as a senior advisor

Who has worked with conservative Sen. Santorum & within the GOP prior to that.

and has “no recollection” of lobbying in support of abortion?

Fred had nothing to do with that, that was with the firm itself.

who signed campaign finance reform and acted on the Law and Order set?

You conveniently ignore the 8 years in the Senate and the work he did within Washington too.

With people like EEE supporting Fred, that's a strike against him in mine. I remain dedicated to finding the most conservative candidate who is going to advance the interests of America and supporting him.

Your guy Hunter failed to seize the initiative and distinguish himself from the pack. He has ran an obsolete campaign that has relied on the MSM (who won't do him any favors) instead of doing what Fred has done.

Incidentally, no - 'Fags' shouldn't have jobs advising a political party that's supposed to represent traditional America.

The guy that Fred hired was OUTED by radical left-wing homosexuals. It wasn't like he marched in gay pride parades and was out there flaming.

You know how homosexuals are always trying to create a split in the GOP with this crap, and unfortunately you fell for it.

I just take what the man said in the youtube clip you offered as what he believes. You may read into it whatever you want. He said nothing about being against offering some sort of pathway to citizenship. If he believes otherwise, I need to hear that from him. I still remain undecided and will for sometime. If you've made your mind up, ok, thats your decision. No amount of insults from anyone will change my mind. Anything at this point about Mr. Thompson is a little premature anyhow as he hasn't officially declared his run for POTUS.

There are lots of things he didn’t say in that particular clip. For instance, he didn’t say he was against legalizing bestiality either. Are you going to say that means he’s for it?

Besides, I’ve given you other supporting pieces where he did say that he was against amnesty, as well as calling out the amnesty shills for what they are and making them explain why giving citizenship to 20 million criminals isn’t amnesty.

IIRC, the last House member elected to the presidency was our 16th president, Abraham Lincoln. That was a hell of a long time ago in a very different country.

Do these conciliatory comments also apply to Rudy?

They might if he were an actual conservative like Thompson or Hunter.

No, it was the link from reply #97. Got it to open early this morning. Good interview. Thats the kind of info I’m looking for. I’m still going to wait to hear more and give others a chance. Thanks.
