FRED THOMPSON has decided not to declare his candidacy anytime soon, and it's not hard to see why...
Behind the scenes, Thompson and his die-hard supporters are quietly building a huge nationwide campaign for the White House.
In the past 10 days, "Fred's Fans" have:
* Raised more than $1 million with just two fund-raisers, including $300,000 in Atlanta last night.
* Hired key operatives around the country and are in talks with several more recently laid off by John McCain's crumbling presidential campaign.
* Made significant strides toward the nearly $5 million that Thompson's "First Day Founders" have committed to raising as seed money for a full-fledged presidential campaign.
In doing so, Thompson has shown he can raise as much cash as other Republicans who have been in the field for months, if not years...
McCain insiders admit that a major reason they are nearly broke with no real prospects for recovery is that they rushed out and bought a big national campaign way before they were in a position to pay for it.
Thompson isn't going to make that mistake...

I think you have gotten a reasoned response several times in this thread alone. Plenty of evidence and analysis has been presented to refute your assertion. Perhaps you have a different definition of "reasoned."
Forget the names, forget who is running for what office, and go read the allegations against... call him "John Doe"... and read the comments on those allegations. It is easy to conclude the allegations are false. To conclude otherwise just demonstrates your prejudice.
OK, but I gotta tell ya, I can't really understand what difference that makes. Declared or not, Fred Thompson is running for President, and I think everybody including you knows that.
nor do representatives or mayors.
listen, most fred backers look at what he has said, they like what they hear, they look at the rest of the republican field, and then support Fred because they see him as the most electable conservative. all freepers are free to do the same, some have made other choices, such as Hunter, or Romney etc. But those of us that have decided to back fred, did the calculus and decided he is the most electable conservative. it is fine to sit and dream about the perfect candidate, but unfortunately we have to pick from those who are actually running. and yes, fred is running.
That's either senility, or they are weasel words. Take your pick.
Another possibility is that FRed realizes that the sniping has just begun and that he intends to run his own campaign and not be led around by those who want him to fail.
Who has worked with conservative Sen. Santorum & within the GOP prior to that.
and has no recollection of lobbying in support of abortion?
Fred had nothing to do with that, that was with the firm itself.
You conveniently ignore the 8 years in the Senate and the work he did within Washington too.
Your guy Hunter failed to seize the initiative and distinguish himself from the pack. He has ran an obsolete campaign that has relied on the MSM (who won't do him any favors) instead of doing what Fred has done.
The guy that Fred hired was OUTED by radical left-wing homosexuals. It wasn't like he marched in gay pride parades and was out there flaming.
You know how homosexuals are always trying to create a split in the GOP with this crap, and unfortunately you fell for it.
Never said that at all.
There are lots of things he didn’t say in that particular clip. For instance, he didn’t say he was against legalizing bestiality either. Are you going to say that means he’s for it?
Besides, I’ve given you other supporting pieces where he did say that he was against amnesty, as well as calling out the amnesty shills for what they are and making them explain why giving citizenship to 20 million criminals isn’t amnesty.
IIRC, the last House member elected to the presidency was our 16th president, Abraham Lincoln. That was a hell of a long time ago in a very different country.
You keep campaining for Fred. Seems like your sold. He seems like a nice man. I make up my mind later. The last clip won’t open.
They might if he were an actual conservative like Thompson or Hunter.
Will do! :)

It’s working for me...little slow though.
No, it was the link from reply #97. Got it to open early this morning. Good interview. Thats the kind of info I’m looking for. I’m still going to wait to hear more and give others a chance. Thanks.
