Oh man, those are some bad memories I’d like to erase. ha

You know what though? The thing that bums me out the most is the fact that there’s no need for Star Trek today, because the dream of going into space is just dead. Too many problems down here, and so many people are sucking on the gubmint teet, no one would want to spend their handout money on space. So sad. When I was a kid, everyone wanted to be an astronaut or the President of the US. Who wants to be those now? ha

I don’t think it’s dead, it’s just been moved out of the public consciousness for now. Like you said there is so much going on now. Space exploration is for more peaceful, innocent times. The truth is, we need to fix the problems we have here before we even begin to worry about traveling to the stars, or we’ll just export them to space. You want to hear an even bigger irony? Before we move into space, which I believe will become a necessity, we are going to have to come together as a people united. One world, if you will.
