Its the first time we are trying them on the grill. They are yummy. If I may ask, what makes the meatballs "german"?

Okay you start with 1 pound of ground beef and 1 pound of ground pork.
To that you add sauteed onions, basil, pepper, salt and paprika.
In a separate bowl you mix up a 1/2 cup of milk with 8 table spoons of breadcrumbs, then you add that mixture with the ground beef and ground pork.
Shape into meatballs and either fry or bake them in the oven.
I’ll let you know how they turn out on the grill.

Sounds like a wonderful time being had by all.
The German Meatballs sound yummy. What seasoning makes
them German? :D
I need to crank up some music, too! I am alone. I would
love to watch “The Crossing” with Jeff Daniels, about Washington if I could find it on TV. I wish I had the DVD.

Use a muffin pan that is just a little smaller then the meatballs and rest the meat ball on top of the opening.
I got that tip from Food networks Good eats.
