Sen. Schumer Furious With Bush Over Libby
New York Sen. Charles Schumer late Monday expressed angry opposition to President George W. Bush's commutation of 'Scooter' Libby's prison sentence.
Libby was convicted in March of lying and obstructing an investigation into who revealed the identity of a CIA officer, Valerie Plame, whose husband, former Ambassador Joseph Wilson, had criticized the Iraq war.
"Im outraged, blasts Schumer in a flurry of e-mails being shotgunned across the nation by the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC).
Schumer urges recipients to sign a sharp petition directed to President Bush:
"George Bush has commuted the sentence of Scooter Libby and wiped away two and a half years of prison time with the stroke of his pen. President Bush is willfully ignoring Libbys felony conviction, ignoring the jurys guilty verdict, and ignoring the rule of law. Our nation deserves better.
"Tell George Bush: "Im appalled by your actions."
Schumer adds, "We need to show Bush his actions just arent acceptable.
"We expect more from our president, laments the senator. "We expect honor and integrity, we expect moral leadership. We expect our president and his staff to be held to a higher standard.
Schumer concludes, "Its at times like these that I realize just how important a strong Democratic Senate is to our nation. Democrats are fighting the Republicans abuse of power but we cant do it without your help.
The DSCC reminds recipients that it is picking up the tab for the petition and the communications and that no candidate or candidates committee has authorized the petition.

LAUREN BUSH
Maybe Schmucker can tell us what he and Do Nothing Nance and Reidtard have done so far??
I’m sure President Bush is shaking.
Pray for W and Our Troops
[I]f the President be connected, in any suspicious manner, with any person, and there be grounds to believe he will shelter him, the House of Representatives can impeach him; they can remove him if found guilty...
They are currently wetting their pants with glee.
Better yet, quietly put those bumper stickers on lib’s cars, and watch other libs vandalize it.
We used to do something similar with the newly-minted Marines at ITS at Camp Pendleton in the early 1980s. Some days we'd have several hours to idle between morning and night fires, and the training staff had some rather interesting ways of letting the boys blow off steam. We'd always have a few pairs of guys who didn't like one another, and we'd set them up with gloves and let them box.
Then this staff sergeant who was a Navajo Indian came up with the idea to let each opponent wrap their left hand in a towel, and gave them foam bats he bought somewhere to hold in the other hand, and let them wail away at each other. Not quite the same, for sure, but they still managed to bruise themselves up pretty good. I know because I was a medic who got to patch them up afterwards. $:-)
Wish I could join you. :-)
What’s so bizarro is that the SP kept asking questions for months after he knew the answer.
Hillary must have called the nappy headed Senior Senator Ho and told him he was outraged.
Chuck the Schmuck, putz extraordinaire.
This from the man who seeks the release of one Jonathan Pollard, Israeli spy.
“Tell George Bush: “Im appalled by your actions.”
Schumer adds, “We need to show Bush his actions just arent acceptable.
Sen. Chuckie is hoping for some of that ‘shamnesty’ magic in a new cause.
Good luck, schmuck.
He can be as outraged as he wants. The Constitution (”the words we live by”, remember Chuckie?) gives the President full authority to do this.
Hey Chuckie...TUFF. Go tell it to someone who cares.
Never trust a guy who looks like he had a role in Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
Chucky seen here rehearsing for his new role in Who Screwed the American People (Again!).

This whole episode is so insignificant. Why should anyone care what Schumer thinks?
