I think Abraham Lincoln was better known for a great deal more than any failed office run. Who are you to diss anyone who has served their nation as admirably as Lincoln, and even paid the price for his accomplishments anyway? You’ve got to be one of those die hard Confederalists, right?

I think Abraham Lincoln was better known for a great deal more than any failed office run. No. He was an obscure prairie lawyer, but his Republican ideals gained a lot of publicity from the Douglas-Lincoln debates.
The problem with being a Representative is that you are one of 435, representing a small area. Senators represent entire states. The difference in prestige is not insignificant - and it creates major advantages for Senators even over Representatives.
You really need to be less defensive. The question is an honest one - one that should be asked of any of the potential nominees who have no executive experience. There was no offense intended, nor any specific agenda behind the question. It just is an opportunity to ask Rep. Hunter to address a weak point in his resume compared to that of Governor Romney or Mayor Giuliani (each of whom have other weak points).

This is wonderful! Any conservative candidate worth his salt should be doing this. Bookmarked for later.

Start asking! Duncan, your mindset and political demeanor is so impressive.
Why are you not the front runner to date in your endeavor to become POTUS?

I question your motive in asking such a question.
BTW, I am not on the defensive, because I have no reason to be. I am simply correcting your misinformation.

So what are you trying to prove, jude? That the glass can be half empty instead of half full if one wants it to be perhaps?

Well, the George Soros owned MSM just might have something to do with that, although Rep. Hunter is making more appearances on TV lately. The media reports only on whom they want to be the nominee, for whatever reason.

As we approach the 300,000 mark here at FR, and considering there are 300,000,000 Americans we stand a pretty good chance at getting the word out! Talk to your neighbors people!
Duncan Hunter is the only one who really subscribes to Reaganomics.
Money fuels the campaign, but it takes name recognition to get that primary! Spread the name, near and far!
