Goes to show that freedom in Christ is FREEDOM Indeed; no one that truely (”accepts”) and exeriences Christ EVER wants to go back..He is perfect, and gives a renewed and perfected Spirit (though our bodies and minds still struggle with sin, outside influences) to those that surrender and let Christ forgive and love them! ANYONE can be saved; halleluia; I pray for these people ALL the time..

God bless this man. He's chosen the more difficult path--but one that leads ultimately to Eternal Life.
God is more powerful than GLSEN, PFLAG, NAMBLA, and all the other gay groups put together.

Every time I was tempted to lust, I noticed it, caught it, dealt with it. I called it what it was, and then just let it disappear on its own. That is the key to dealing with all emotional impulses, not just lust.

You said what I was thinking. Personally, I don’t believe that we should be putting people in the spotlight who have come from this psychologically-destructive background after a few months of conversion. There is a tendency in evangelicalism to make celebrities of people as soon as they become converts. But the celebrity lifestyle, including the Christian celebrity lifestyle, is also very dangerous. This gentleman needs to take a low profile and do the hard work of sanctification before being given too large a megaphone. Otherwise, we are putting too much in front of him, too soon.

“Homosexuality, delivered to young minds, is by its very nature pornographic. It destroys impressionable minds and confuses their developing sexuality; I did not realize this, however, until I was 30 years old.”
Can’t get this any clearer, than right from the Horses mouth! Praise God, this man listened to Him, and is free now.

In my experience, "coming out" from under the influence of the homosexual mindset was the most liberating, beautiful and astonishing thing I've ever experienced in my entire life.Testimonies from many, many others whom Jesus Christ has freed from the bondage of enslavement to sin have attested to the same feeling.
Why do so many remain in chains when there is Someone there who longs to set them free and give them abundant, eternal life?

Thank you so much for posting this link! It took me a few days, but I finally made it through all of the stories. Some of them moved me to tears. Many of them had me marveling at the power and compassion of God and the calling that so many former gays and lesbians have to help others find the way out.
I have a Masters in Biology and have never thought that it made sense in simple evolutionary terms for homosexuality to be inherited because, until the recent advent of IVF and artificial insemination, it was impossible for two homosexuals to reproduce. If a trait can not be passed on to the offspring, it will die out. Even so, it is still hard to convince some people that the gay lifestyle is actually a choice that can be "unchosen".
I have twin daughters who will be 27 next month, and although they have been raised in a Christian home, they have bought into the lie that "no one would choose to live a gay lifestyle if they could help it". They think that I should just be glad that they are heterosexual and not be so "judgmental". Two of one of my daughter's closest friends have recently "come out" as lesbians, although they have both been married. Both are very well educated and one is a PA with two young children. I love both of these young women and have tried to show the love of Jesus to them without showing approval of the choice they have made. Their formerly close relationships with their parents has suffered greatly.
I sent this link to both of my daughters so that they could read the testimonies of how empty, depraved, and sometimes deadly the gay lifestyle is and how a loving and merciful God can bring someone out of homosexuality if they really seek to know God's will for their lives.
