Forecasters see no tropical storm activity
Herald Staff Report

MANATEE -- Hurricane watchers say today that the tropics are clear of potential tropical storms at least through Tuesday night.

Forecasters with the National Hurricane Center in Miami say an area of showers east of Florida has diminished or merged with a frontal boundary, and the low-pressure area poses no threat.

The hurricane center watches the North Atlantic, Caribbean Sea and Gulf of Mexico for weather that could develop into dangerous storms during the 2007 hurricane season.

Through the first month of the hurricane season, there has been little tropical weather.

That’s cause all the tropical moisture has camped out over Texas.

No tropical storms?

Truly, THAT is an inconvenient truth...

Cheers!

Algore is deeply saddened. He was forced to drink carbon credits.

This is one of the stupidest MSM articles I’ve ever seen, unfortunate it gets posted twice.

1) They’re simply reporting on a 48 hour outlook the NHC does 4 times a day, every single day of the season.

2) There actually has been ABOVE AVERAGE tropical activity so far this season, not “little.”

Scientists report that global warming is responsible for a bizarre absence of tropical storms this year. “This means the ice-caps are melting far faster than our worst fears,” said Dr. Doom, “and that, unless we immediately turn our countries over to the United Nations, our children will all die miserable deaths of heat stroke and/or drowning.” A reliable white house source tells us that George Bush has started drinking again in remorse for his role in Global Warming.

Our "busy season" for tropical storms and hurricanes here in the FL Panhandle doesn't usually start until September (although we have had them start on the first day of hurricane season back in the 90's).

The Gulf is very "peaceful" right now and our seawater temp, here, is 84.8 degrees. That's normal as it's almost always 85 by the Fourth of July.
