The wicket has gotten sticky for those who, in the wake of terror attacks, seek to blame the West for the disaffection of a few Islamist youths gone wrong. The profile of those involved in the latest rash of terror incidents in the U.K. has stood that theory on its head.
Consider the dialogue on this morning's "Today" at 7:06 a.m. EDT between NBC's Lester Holt and Lisa Myers, both reporting from London.
NBC'S LESTER HOLT: Lisa, we always hear when these sort of things happen in the U.K. about disaffected young Muslim men, sort of home-grown terrorists. When you talk about physicians, does this change the nature of what anti-terror authorities here would expect in these cases?
NBC'S LISA MYERS: Absolutely, Lester. This greatly complicates the profile. Most of the recent plots had been the work of so-called home-grown cells with ties to Pakistan; disaffected young British Muslims who in some cases went to Pakistan for terror training. Here you have a group of highly-educated foreigners, the kind of people that this country actually encourages to come to Britain. So that makes it very tough, Lester.

Tough indeed, particularly for those who want to encourage immigration from countries that are breeding grounds for terrorists. Will the MSM make the uncomfortable-for-it but obvious connection between this case and U.S. foreign policy and immigration policy? If the amnesty-based immigration bill hadn't already died last week, it would certainly be DOA as of this morning.

It isn’t “tough”. Their lies about “poverty” and “desperation” leading Muslims to commit terror have been exposed by the actions of these professionals. The only answer is the internment, deportation and ban on immigration of ALL Muslims, until and unless this situation is eliminated.

Muslims by nature are "disaffected". The dogma and rhetoric of Islam pits them against all other religions in a endlessly hostile and paranoid battle. ISLAM is the problem, not poverty, not foreign policy, not Iraq.
I suspect that would limit it to the Vatican.
Somehow, I don't think we'll be seeing Polish Catholic physicians pulling these types of stunts any time soon. ;)

The 9-11 hijackers did not fit the poor young outcast mode either. The MSM can not bring themselves to believe that this is an impacable enemy that hates us period-it is spawned by the adherance to the Muslim religion. If you become born again in the Christian church, you go out and try to persuade people to join you in the born again experience. If you become an adherant to Islamofascism, you want to kill the infidel so Mohammad can return.
The MSM can not admit evil exist because it destroys their rational of reasonable people from different countries who are really more similar than different. We just have to more understanding.
