It seems like McCain’s campaign is sort of like his amnesty bill - it keeps dying but it never seems to go away.

McQueeg’s pretty much out of the picture. Can’t wait ‘til the field is pared down to Thompson and Hunter.

I think the only people surprised by McCain’s implosion are....well, McCain himself of course, and the mainstream media.
The MSM seems to have forgotten McCain’s so called ‘base’ in 2000 was made up of those crossing party lines to screw up the GOP primaries, and MSNBC who wanted to promote McCain until the general election of 2000 where he would have lost to Gore.
Whats really amusing to me is McCain will never even CONSIDER the reason he’s a non entity for the Presidential nomination is his bashing conservatives and christians for the amusement of Chrissy Mathew’s on ‘Hardball’.
Maybe he can fill in at MSNBC when Scarborough goes on vacation....

Anyone throwing money after McCain is hoping that primary voters vote on name recognition and sentiment....that maybe lightning will accidentally strike. I think McCain knows he’s toast, but just wants Fed matching money to sock away in his Senate campaign fund.
