MUZZLE MANIA; DEMS TARGET TALK RADIO (rallying cry of The Silencers: "democracy is a drag")
NY POST ^ | July 2, 2007 | KIRSTEN POWERS

Feinstein: Seeking to silence right-wing gabbers.

Last week, the immigration bill died a grisly death at the hands of the talk-radio listeners who have frustrated and confounded me.........Nearly as frustrating, however, has been the imperial reaction of elected officials to their citizen uprising. Apparently, democracy is a drag - but it's nothing a little authoritarian censorship can't fix.

FReeper Vision Thing summed it up thusly:

"......we’ve passed the tipping point. Americans aren’t going to take it anymore. June 2007 is the best that the illegals will ever have. It’s all downhill from here for them. The world (including all illegals who are here and all potential illegals sitting outside of our borders) has never seen Americans stand up for themselves against them until June 2007. This is what’s different. For the first time in our nation’s history, not just Conservatives, but most Americans have stopped the feds from coddling the illegals. Do you think this is going to encourage more aliens from coming here? Do you think this encourages the illegals who are currently here to feel comfortable? We’re different. And the world has taken notice."

One of the main reasons Air America failed is because the liberals already have NPR.

Ha and the kicker is that Bush and Lott are ready to help the left yank the plug on conservative radio.

I am pretty much through with what goes around calling themselves Republicans at this time......

RINO-MANIA seems to have come of age.

Better pray that a dem doesn’t get the presidency in ‘08 because imo the first order of business will be to sign a bill to shut us up.

I think illegals know that long-feared crackdown is coming sooner than later, and this gravy train has almost run its course. As life in the US becomes more difficult, they’ll gradually go home. Let the disenfranchisment begin...

One of the many reasons Air America failed is the liberals already have NPR and they also have no relevant ideas.
The statist Left has not had a new IDEA since 1917...they are all so confident that this is their time to drown the US with SOCIALISM via the Fascist reign of Hillary. They are delusional and have shown their cards too early! IMO, the times are in favor of a resurging Conservative America and ‘08 will be a battle in which we must and will prevail!

I have contended from the getgo: Grassroots opposition to amnesty is a rare consensus issue which joins together all segments of the political spectrum.

Too bad the dumbos on Capitol Hill failed to realize that salient fact.

Challengers to these dumbos need only mention “amnesty” to attract droves of voters.

Last time I checked Trent Lott was a Republican. What was his quote..something like he was going to do something about talk radio.

Agree for sure Liz, but will break out the champagne when all 854 miles of the fence are a fact.

Meanwhile, we have to remove the cancerous tumors in Congress, or we will never be truly safe.

Lott is for banning conservative talk radio that bailed his hide out. Lott was fighting hard to pass this Amnesty bill. That shows me that Lott is a liberal Democrat in a Republican disguise . Ditto for McCain, Hagel, Specter, Graham who are also Democrat Trojan horses out to destroy the GOP and America. Just because someone like Lott or Bloomberg call themselves a Republican doesn’t mean they are one.

There are some real Republicans like Republican Senators Sessions, Vitter, Demint et al who led the fight against this Amnesty bill. Why do people only notice the RINOS but ignore real Republicans Senators like Sessions, Vitter,Demint,Coburn,Inhofe, and Republicans Duncan Hunter and Republican Tom Tancredo?

One of the main reasons Air America failed is because the liberals already have NPR.

And NPR, just like Air America, is unable to compete in the market... Both are radically left wing, and neither is able to be run without massive inflows of capital from the outside. Neither is self-sufficient in a financial sense.

>>Air America failed

How ironic that in Boston, the two Air America stations are
now running...la nueva rumba, con orgullo latino (Latin
Pride). Serving the illegal immigrant community in
their native language (habla ingles? how racist!)

What Air America Boston Is Now Airing...escucha ahora!

Generic talk radio ranked ahead of the PBS NewsHour, CNN and daily newspapers.

I love it

Secure, VERY secure borders, are a must----but I keep wondering why WE have to foot the billion dollar bill for border security. WE are a superpower---we should demand Mehico do something about this.

Keep in mind that the US (that's us the taxpayers) provides the nuclear defense umbrella to protect Mexico, so that Mehico has no real defense expenses. America needs to let Mexico know that we will cut off every penny in aid it gets from the United States unless they do something about border security.

Mexico can well-afford it. Mexico is a wealthy oil-producing neighbor that forces its poor people to flee to the US to work, and send money back home.Mexico has more "Forbes" billionaires, 11, than all but eight other nations. It has more billionaires than Saudi Arabia, Switzerland or Taiwan. It also has more than 85,000 millionaires. According to a CNN report, Mexico sits on oil reserves worth about $400 billion, but Mexico's state-owned oil company, Pemex, doesn't have the investment funds to tap those reserves, and Mexico's Congress refuses to allow foreign investment in Pemex. However, some observers say this is due to Mexican gov't corruption, and the obsession to line their own pockets.

Adding insult to injury American taxpayers are subsidizing foreign aid transfers to Mexico. The percentage Mehican politicans are getting from this $20-30 billion bundle must be considerable (or else it would be stopped). And besides, America should mandate proof for all cash transfers out of the US and/or force all transferring agencies -- banks, credit unions, Amex, Western Union to collect a substantial withholding tax -- 50%, say -- on every unexplained foreign remittance.

The government of Mexico---with all of its oil revenue----needs to be pitching in to protect the borders (AND taking care of its own people, not "outsourcing' them as wards of American taxpayers).

The Rats have proved to be unable to produce. When they can’t win they must posture. They must have an enemy or bogeyman of the week to denounce.

It’s Talk Radio’s week in the barrel.

The liberal media and the Michael Weiner followers want us to believe that a Real Republican would want to create 20 million new Democrat voters with this Amnesty bill.
