The coverage on FoxNews is stunning. Cars overturned everywhere, trucks on fire, just horrible. They said they have no idea of the cause as of yet but something this major, on this type of bridge, would be very very rare.
Heartbreaking.

PHOETO CAPTION: “A FedEx truck lies beneath iron support beams that fell when a bridge that was under construction collapsed near Oroville, Calif., on Tuesday. Firefighters swarmed the FedEx delivery truck to cut its driver from underneath a large steel beam that crushed the hood but missed the cab. A second beam landed on the back of the truck. The cause of the collapse was being investigated.”

Dear God in heaven, I’m speechless... tragic and overwhelming

I said to my wife, "You scoff, but don't be surprised if this is terrorism."
Have many relatives and friends in the Twin Cities. Cannot reach them. Phone lines are jammed.
Prayers to all.
My prayers to everyone, including your family and friends. May they all be safe.
Thank you, JJ.
AUSTRALIAN Federal Police Commissioner Mick Keelty said Australian authorities have no evidence Mohamed Haneef is linked to al-Qaeda, but the allegations need to be followed up.
An Indian police file on Dr Haneef completed after his arrest in Australia said the Gold Coast doctor has alleged links to al-Qaeda. The so-called dossier, revealed on SBS television last night, is an Indian police record of Dr Haneef that contains details about his education, earnings, relatives' names, his family's economic status and physical abnormalities.
One entry in the police file, which is marked "restricted", says "Organisational set up: alleged links with al-Qaeda". Mr Keelty today said the alleged links were new information to him. "But it emphasises the fact that this is an ongoing investigation, there are a lot of avenues of inquiry that are still to be followed through," he told ABC radio. "We don't have anything that positively says that in Australia but of course it is an avenue of inquiry and if that is what the Indians are saying it needs to be followed through."

Islamic Prayer Removed From Zack & Wiki Game
Posted on Aug 1, 2007
The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) recently sent out word that Capcom has removed the Muslim prayer "Allahu akbar" from Zack & Wiki: Quest For Barbaros' Treasure. The upcoming Wii game contained the common prayer, which means "God is most great," in one of its many puzzles.
The phrase first surfaced in videos of Zack & Wiki from last month's E3. The prayer was said when players completed a puzzle in which tribal islanders turned a giant platform. According to Capcom, CAIR was one of many parties that complained about the prayer's usage. "We have already contacted the team working on the game, and the phrase has been removed from the game and will not be heard in future videos released to the public," a Capcom spokesperson told CAIR.
"We appreciated Capcom's willingness to address Muslim concerns and applaud the company's swift and appropriate actions," said CAIR Communications Coordinator Amina Rubin. Zack & Wiki: Quest For Barbaros' Treasure will ship this October. The adventure title sends players on a quest for treasure, during which they must use the Wii Remote in eighty different ways to solve puzzles. Stick with RN for continuing coverage.

Thanks for your concern. The one I am most concerned about is my niece, who teaches at the University. This would have been about the time she heads home. She is teaching a summer class right now and crosses that bridge every evening. My sister, her Mom, is overseas and I can’t reach her either.
How awful! Prayers lifted for the victims, rescue and emergency personnel, and the families.
Just heard from Annie. She had a date for dinner and is just now trying to find an alternate route over the river. Thank God.
Working on Aug TM — should be up in next 2 hr. Long day!
Thank the Lord.
Thank heavens for dinner dates!
