Suspicious man photographed Denver office buildings
Three suspicious incidents in downtown Denver this summer have triggered a notice to law enforcement officials stating someone in the area may be conducting surveillance activity.
According to an internal document obtained by the Rocky Mountain News today, a man was seen about 6:30 p.m. on July 11, standing on Tremont Street between 16th and 17th streets.
He was outside one of the buildings there, videotaping the security desk through a window. The man, described as “believed to be of Middle Eastern descent,” then walked to 16th and Tremont, where he filmed more of the outside of the building. [snip]
The internal bulletin also lists two other incidents that may have involved the same man or may have been related.
In June, a man was seen at the light-rail station at 16th and California.
A witness, unnamed in the bulletin, said the man was standing on the H-Train platform, watching people entering the train.
The witness also said he may have been distributing literature.
On July 11, the same witness saw the same man riding the train. He looked to be counting the number of occupants, counting again when the train filled up.
As the witness exited the train, she bumped into the man, who “was mumbling; the words Al-Aqsa were heard,” according to the bulletin. [snip]

Militants threatening letter to Bishop Nasir: Convert to Islam or die
Pakistan Christian Post ^ | July 27, 2007 | Rana Ghayyour
Posted on 07/26/2007 9:50:48 PM PDT by Ghayyour
Lahore: July 23, 2007. (PCP) Bishop Timotheus Nasir is target of Muslim militant groups in Pakistan after receiving a threatening letter to ordering him convert to Islam or they would kill him.
Such threatening letters were dropped in Charsadda and Shanti Nagar in homes of Christians in months of May-June but letter to Bishop Nasir is first to any high profile Christian religious leader in Pakistan.
The threat to Bishop Nasir have created very serious concern among his followers around world after wake of violence by militants in reaction to military operation of Lall Masjid in Islamabad.
Bishop Nasir is principal of century old theological seminary but he served as commissioned officer in armed forces of Pakistan which makes him target of militants.
The extremist Muslim groups in Pakistan have been writing editorial notes and printing news items in their magazines against Bishop Nasir from years.
Bishop Nasir is also editor of Monthly Kalam-e-Haq the only Christian publication in Pakistan, covering religion and Christian issues, which is not liked by Muslim religious extremists.
Bishop Nasir came in lime light of Pakistani press when he debated Muslim Scholar Ahmad Deddat in Sialkot who has been challenging Christian faith and inviting debates but non-was facing him. The daring Bishop Nasir debated Deddat in gathering of thousands of Muslims and defeated him with his wisdom and blessings of Lord.
The recent threaten letter to Bishop Nasir can be viewed as very serious threat and not as joke.
Thank you Velveeta.
All updates on this appreciated.

Remember folks, the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade is the military wing...
...of the “moderate” Fatah movement.
Report: Aksa threatens to attack targets abroad
The London-based Arab newspaper Al-Quds al-Arabi reported on Friday that the Aksa Martyrs Brigades have threatened to carry out terror attacks on targets abroad if the international PA boycott is not lifted, Israel Radio reported.
According to the report, the Fatah-affiliated group said in a statement that its members would act against the US and any other country cooperating in the boycott.

In an unusual public statement, Zakaria Zubeidi, chief of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades in Jenin, admits that his organization receives operative assistance from Hezbollah (funds, arms and training), and that the organization exerts much influence on him.
Zakaria Zubeidi, chief of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades in Jenin, recently granted an interview in which he publicly admitted, in an uncharacteristic fashion, that his organization receives operative assistance from Hezbollah and that Iran exerts much influence on him (referring to his organization).
In the interview, published in the German newspaper Welt am Sonntag (March 6) and cited in the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Rai al-Amm (March 6), Zakaria Zubeidi noted that Hezbollah assisted his organization with funds, arms, and military training.
Without the assistance of our Hezbollah brothers, said Zubeidi, we would not have been able to persist with our struggle ; they [Hezbollah] give us funds, arms, training, and support. Zubeidi added, We coordinate our operations with them [i.e., with Hezbollah].

Al Aqsa Brigades leader tells WND of threat

JERUSALEM It is only a “question of time” before Palestinian terror groups and other Islamic organizations in the Middle East target the United States both abroad and on the home front, Abu Nasser, second-in-command of the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, told WorldNetDaily in an exclusive interview.
The information comes after FBI officials told reporters earlier this week they are searching for possible Hezbollah agents operating inside the U.S. amid concerns escalating tensions with Iran could trigger attacks on American soil.
According to Israeli security officials, Abu Nasser and the overall leader of the Al Aqsa Brigades in northern Samaria, Ala Senakreh, coordinate their groups activities directly with Hezbollah. Sources in the Brigades admitted to WND they work in tandem with Hezbollah, which they say provides funding and training.
“The Americans deserve to be targeted because of their support to the enemy. ... It is a question of time before the revolutionary organizations in the Middle East will start targeting the Americans,” said Abu Nasser, speaking to WND from Nablus.
The Al Aqsa Brigades, the declared “military wing” of Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah party, is responsible for scores of rocket and shooting attacks, and together with Islamic Jihad for every suicide bombing since last February’s so-called cease-fire.
“One can say that these threats are just rhetoric, but the near past proved that these threats come more and more into reality,” said Abu Nasser. “Believe me, it is a new era and I am suggesting to the American people to adopt a different policy and strategy because very soon they will deal with a unified Muslim world, but without the help of their agents in the Middle East.”
The Al Aqsa Brigades is not thought to possess the ability to attack inside the U.S., but there are concerns its ally, Hezbollah, has infiltrated America and is seeking to attack.
Hezbollah representatives in Iran warned earlier this week the group stood ready to target U.S. and Israeli interests worldwide.

Iranian minister says sanctions are ineffective
Published: 07.27.07, 02:25 / Israel News
More US or international sanctions will not persuade Iran to back down on its nuclear program and could lead to “confrontation” with the West, Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said in an interview published on Thursday.
“In today’s world, the instrument of sanctions is no longer effective,” he said according to a report on the NPR Web site which was to be broadcast by the network later on Thursday. Mottaki said the new UN resolution would not force Iran to halt its uranium enrichment program. “It will be the start of a confrontation,” he said. (Reuters)
