Last year, the Secure Fence Act, which mandated 854 miles of border fencing, passed the US Senate 80-19, passed the US House 283-138, and was signed into law by the president.

There did seem to be some votes for that, no?

Now is not the time to let up. We need to pressure our politicians to enforce the existing immigration laws including deporting illegal aliens, building the fence and prosecuting businesses who do business with illegal aliens. The link below is a ping list to pay attention for other questionable legislation being considered in Congress.

Has anyone asked this question?

Once these 12 million become citizens will they be willing to work at below minimum wage and under the table?

Its time Republican voters from South Carolina proved Graham wrong by putting him back on the street and out of the Senate.

Allow me to reword and "accurize" this a little:

The only way we're going to get Ag jobs or DREAM Act or pathways to legal status for the estimated 20-35 million illegal immigrants, is to pass bits and pieces of the measure important to our constituents...

They’ll drag this on and on and on and on and on until they wear down the citizens and the media won’t report on it any longer and nothing will be changed. It’ll all have been a waste of time and effort and tax dollars all at the expense of our children’s future and other matters that should have been addressed. They think they’re being smart and playing a game but they’re tearing down America.

Speaking of “no votes”, Mr. Graham’s prospect for another term seems in doubt.

The only things that need to be passed are funding for the fence, and the bill that makes salary payments to illegal aliens non-deductible.

It looks like if anything new happens with this, Grahamnesty won’t have anything to do with it as he’ll be out of public office by then. He seems to have forgotten that we who voted him in can also vote him out.

I’d vote for Charles Manson before I’d vote for Graham again.

At least we were right voting for Jim DeMint.

Apparently you missed this statement. Your Senators and Representatives are NOT open to "enforcing the law". When I called one of my former Senator's (McCain) office during this latest debacle with exactly that suggestion his punk intern snidely told me "we don't enforce the law, call the Executive Branch - I will tell the Senator of your concerns."

I must tell you... I wanted to rip the smart-ass little twerp's pharynx out.

If we keep up the pressure to "build the fence" there will be. Idiot senators are disoriented and confused by the fact that citizens really have begun to pay attention when their vital interests are at stake. A followup grassroots "Secure the Border" campaign is the next step to keep momentum going.

Translation: we will not release the hostage until all of the Senate's, the President's and the Chamber of Commerce's demands are met.

No votes for “Enforcement First”?

Well.... Time to CLEAN HOUSE and SENATE then.

Anyone against that approach should be targeted for defeat.

Are Freepers with me on that?

Graham is stupid for saying this. If they passed Law B to enforce an as-yet-unenforced Law A, why should anyone enforce the new Law B?

Besides, it's up to the Executive branch to enforce laws. The only power the Legislative branch has to enforce laws is to impeach the Executive when said Executive is not enforcing the law.
