PHONE-CALL MUTINY; HOW CITIZENS FELLED THE BORDER BILL (gov't OF, BY and FOR the people prevailed)
NY POST ^ | June 30, 2007 | RICH LOWERY

BEWARE of an aroused citizenry. It's an admonition that should be ingrained in the brain of any run-of-the-mill politician, let alone someone who has ascended to the United States Senate. But from the Olympian heights of the world's greatest deliberative body, it is often forgotten. So senators got a reminder in the humiliating defeat of a "comprehensive" immigration bill that had the support of the president of the United States, a bipartisan group of senators with the blessing of the leaders of their caucuses and the support of the editorial boards of the country's most important newspapers.

I did a quick search and didn’t come up with anything recent. all the old info seemed to indicate that he would be against a bill of this nature.

If he did come out in support of this amnesty deal, I would be very disappointed. If you do come across it, let me know.

It seems like there are several career GOP politicians, here in PA and in the nation, who are more concerned with working for a few special interest groups instead of doing the will of the citizens who hired them.

Hopefully, the voters will remember which ones voted for this abomination, and replace them with people who will represent the will of the law abiding citizens of America.

Frankly, I think we’d be much better off calling for Chertoff and RNC’s Martinez to be ushered out the back door, ASAP.

It finally occurred to me to Google New York, and her webpage came up. She's got NINE offices within the state! D.C. address is: 476 Russell Senate Office Bldg., zip 20510. Phone: (202) 224-4451 General FAX (202) 228-0282

But on Thomas, more searches were interesting. #64 (and others) S.AMDT.231 to S. 470 "Purpose will be available when the amendment is proposed for consideration. See Congressional Record for text." No co-sponsers.

S.Res. 71 was submitted by Inhofe re: the collapse of Somali government in 1991. By 1992, Bill & Hill would know about that - was that the asprin factory they bombed, then our military killed and dragged through the streets?
