The President today officially nominated Adm. Michael Mullen, to be Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and Gen. James Cartwright to Joint Chiefs Vice Chairman.

The President then travelled to the Naval War College in Newport, RI and delievered a speech on Iraq and made a statement on the Senate immigration bill to the press.

The President then went to the family compound on Walker's Point in Kennebunkport, Maine for a long weekend. Later this weekend, his father, former President George H.W. Bush and the current President are scheduled to host Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Today the Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice met with South Korea's Foreign Minister Song Min-soon at the State Department.

Laura Bush and her daughter Jenna are in Zambia today .

Whew, don't know who's luckier, he or she!. Think one of my favorite pictures is the one where he has her backed up against a wall with his hand against the wall (I think) and they're looking into each other's eyes. She has on this beautiful red outfit. Gulp, it's an amazing picture IMO.

It was a joke in purposely bad taste, to reflect my anger with Bush/Gates caving to the Gay Lobby, my admiration for General Pace, and my dislike for SecDef Gates in general.
