In an effort at damage control, Gregg pulls a Kerry.

Gregg isn't up for re-election, but his comments are particulary repugnant because he didn't even have the stones to let his constituents know how he was going to vote.

It’s a mess because of people like Gregg who would happily aid illegals break our laws, swamp our social structure, risk our security and overwhelm our justice system so he, and those like him, can continue to get handouts from business exploiting cheap labor.

This whole thing was totally unnecessary IF the damn laws on the books had been enforced. There is no need for “reform” if we secure the border, jail those flouting the law, and improving the LEGAL way for immigrants to come here to be Americans.

Uh, no...all you have to do is find the musty copy of the Amnesty Bill of 1986 that outlined tough enforcement of our borders. Ted Kennedy assured us then that that bill would fix our terrible illegal immigration problem. Of course, he lied, none of the enforcement statutes were implemented, and instead of 4 million illegals then, we have 12-20 million now.

Judd, the answers are not that difficult. We can’t keep redefining illegals as citizens every 21 years, so here’s what we do...finish the wall, guard the borders, deport every illegal when and where they are found, apply the existing punishments to employers of illegals...in time, problem solved.

I live in Gregg’s district. I’ve made my feelings about his sleaziness well known to him by phone, fax and email.. I told him my wife and I have long memories, and for his vote on this issue and his support of the H1-B travesty, that we would not only not vote for him again, but were going to actively work for his defeat in the next election and make monteary contributions to whoever opposes him. I also called him a RINO and told him if he had a shred of honesty he’d switch his party affiliation to Democrat so that he could be counted along with his Fellow Travelers.
