Actually, I think Hatch did the right thing according to the tally on another thread.

You know that Shamnesty was a joke of a bill when the socialist (Sanders) votes against it...

The ones that voted for cloture should not be considered Americans anymore.

Especially Graham, McCain, Spectre and Martinez. Their actions were simply embarrassing and insulting to American Citizens that care about our Sovereignty.

I saw a thread here discussing recalling Martinez. More than a hundred had already signed it, but some said it could not be done.

To further clarify, those two voted for cloture today, then changed their votes at the last minute, to make it look like they were against it all along.

Thank you. Yes they voted the wrong way Today (Thursday) and then switched their votes to try and fool people, once it was clear that the cloture motion would fail.

Never forget.

At least my faith in Senator Bond is somewhat restored.

I tell you, the real reason a lot of Dems voted NO was that African-Americans were totally opposed to this bill.

I noticed thia on Lou Dobbs show yesterday when the two black talk show hosts were saying all their callers were against this bill

Of course, the media did not cover this...and Sharpton and Jackson were silent about amnesty.

Also, the media never reports about the growing tension between blacks and illegals in some of our US cities

Let Shamnesty opponents pull the race card. It is they who appear to be the racists

Shocked that Brown from Ohio made the right decision. Shocked!

I was shocked as well. Something going on behind the scenes.

Maybe this amnesty bill fiasco will show Ohioans the danger of electing 'rats and RINOs.

Some of these guys could smell the coffee on this vote. Some were changing their vote once they saw it would not pass. “If it’s not going to pass, then I’ll vote no”.

True, I think my senator Larry Craig falls in that group. If true he'll hear me at the ballot box.

If the RINOs aren’t defeated in the primaries then there is very little alternative but to vote for them in the general, just hold your noses. We could probably do alright and get rid of a couple of them, Specter and Hagel for starters.

I agree 100 %.

Well, I won’t trust V or the like, but it’s in OUR interest to reward them for doing the right thing, even if reluctantly.

Is there any way the people of Nevada can find someone better than Harry Reid. Like Sigfried or Roy or Wayne Newton?

After the roughing up that Voinovich got on Hannity’s radio show yesterday, he changed his tune from the “You don’t know what’s in this bill and I do.” line to voting against it? hmmmmmmm...

Hannity did a number on him. I loved it. He showed everyone what a fool he is.

I understand your point about Voinovich’s switch.

That said, he did the right thing as we both know.

Pleasantly surprised about Voinovich and Warner. Didn't expect too much (good) from either of them.

McConnell's vote must be the hardest for the WH to swallow.

Is there a process for recall of a Senator ? Even if there is , it would be extremely difficult and our best bet is to defeat these RINO’s in the primaries .

People were hesitant to defeat well seated RINO’s in the primaries in ‘04/’06 for fear of general election losses. It doesn’t matter now because the Dims control both chambers. We can now freely defeat the Rino’s in the primaries as we have nothing to lose at this point .

I wonder if that is the www.gohomemel.com website where the petition is at.

Actually, recall elections for US Senators should not be illegal, under Federal law, since the residents of a state elect, AND, each state determines how their US reps are elected.

In Florida, its hard to recall someone, as the state’s election laws are the most restrictive in America.

Of course, if a petition to recall Martinez can be made available....I will sign it. We have to get this Senatraitor out.
