Thanks. We in Florida HAVE to get rid of Martinez. Have to.
A couple of interesting votes there from a personal standpoint.
Larry Craig voted with the traitors. He already knows he’s going to be out of a job come 2009. He’s toast.
Commie Tommy Harkin voted “NO” in the end. Unreal. You can tell he’s up for reelection and knows he’s going to have a solid pro-border security opponent.
SWWWEEEEEETTTTT!!!!
Wow, Brownback voted Nay. I’m amazed and pleased.
It didn’t get 50 votes for cloture? What a weak showing.
Bush / Kennedy / McCain must understand they can’t even get a majority of elitists to back their amnesty for lawbreakers.
Ha Ha. Reid this morning was quoted as saying he had 40 democrats, and needed 20 republicans.
He only had 34. He couldn’t even keep his own people in line.
I’m sure though that a lot of the no votes would have been yes if they had been the last vote necessary for cloture.
They just were covering themselves.
On the other hand, I could be wrong. Yesterday was such an embarrassment to Reid that a lot of senators may have just decided the process was to disgusting to support any more. I’ve rarely seen anybody mess up the functioning of the Senate so bad in my life.
Thanks for posting the Roll Call, I appreciate it. No surprise my Senators (Feingold & Kohl) voted Yea... I didn’t expect a different result from them, but it would’ve been nice had they actually realized that from their POV this bill would have been a disaster for the middle class they talk about loving so much!
Does anyone else think that 6-year terms for Senators is a bit too long??? I would be a lot happier with 4-year terms such as the house frankly... Not enough of a say in their job performance at 6-year intervals, IMHO...
Thanks for posting the roll call, but I’m most interested in the names of those who changed their votes once the outcome was foregone.
Voinovich (R-OH) NEY
For someone who supposedly can’t and won’t be intimidated he sure did change his mind in a hurry.
My Thanks to Sean Hannity for exposing this fraud !
