The overwhelming desire of the American people (and not just us “Right-wingers”) is that this bill die. WE do not trust government.
And Kyl from Arizona is such a turd. Saying that this bill will RESTORE the American people’s faith and confidence in government!
And immediately following, Sessions is saying playing off the overwhelming opposition from constituents as uninformed, and that you usually only hear from nay-sayers anyway.

Why do we even bother to vote anymore? If whoever is elected does not represent their constituents?

Yep. Used to work for Ma Bell. They’ve been building switches for so long (and you know they installed top of the line equipment for the gooberment), that if it is true, that’s one hell of a volume.

There are a fixed number of lines going into and out of every phone system. Based on 25 years experience with these systems, there are only four plausible explanations: 1) As configured, the phone system is failing before all trunks are busy which is a design issue. 2) The system failed for a reason unrelated to call volume, i.e. it's a coincidence. 3) The system recording voice mails ran out of disk space. 4) They intentionally shut the incoming trunks down.
That was Arlen Specter saying the Senate should ignore all the phone calls and e-mails against the bill.
That is down also since it is tied to the regular office numbers. I have tried it this morning and it gives the same message that you get when you dial direct. I don't know if the system really crashed or if they just pulled the plug to keep from hearing from us!
Regardless of how this turns out today, the calls and emails need to continue. These “arrogant” Dictators think they’re in office for life and that we have short memories. WRONG! Companion issue is Feinstein and her gaggle of Dictators want to remove our Freedom of Speech via the “Fairness Doctrine.” Feinstein must be reviewing the Liberal Nazi playbook.
If you think they are snobs you should read what the interns say about calls they are recieving.
There’s a website where interns communicate with each other and their disdain for callers and those who write in against the bill is beyond belief.

THEY GAVE PUBS 10 MINUTES AND DEMS AN HOUR....THAT’S WHY THE YIELDS. I didn’t see this but I saw several including I think Jeff saying that they need to restore the faith of the American people, that this is what this vote is about!
