Now that Ronald Reagan’s disastrous appointee O’Connor is off the bench, Roberts and Alito tipped the decision. Amen! Thank you GW!

I sense a great disturbance in the force. It is as if millions of liberal’s heads exploded all at once.

Supreme Court rejects school race plans

By MARK SHERMAN, Associated Press Writer 10 minutes ago

WASHINGTON - The Supreme Court on Thursday rejected public school assignment plans that take account of students’ race.

The decision in cases affecting schools in Louisville, Ky., and Seattle could imperil similar plans in hundreds of districts nationwide, and it leaves public school systems with a limited arsenal to maintain racial diversity.

The court split, 5-4, with Chief Justice John Roberts announcing the court’s judgment. Justice Stephen Breyer wrote a dissent that was joined by the court’s other three liberals.

Great news! I would imagine this means that those other cities that still have such plans (many judicially imposed in the 1970s) will now be able to dump them.

It’s about time. The continued presence of racial classification by government helps no one.

That Bush Legacy is at work again.

While I continue to disagree with the president on the immigration issue, I am positively revolted by the “Impeach Jorge Bush” crowd here on FR.

President Bush, on the whole, has done a great job for America. A big part of that legacy is the nomination of Alito and Roberts, and the War on Terror.

Will that include sexual orientation, specifically the school in NYC that is for gays?

When you scream about the President, remember what he achieved on this Court.

Bush hunting down terrorists, low taxes, to the right Supreme Court.....I’m pretty happy about that.

yeah, I don’t want him to be impeached, but I don’t want someone like him ever in the white house again. I want someone more conservative than him and doesn’t sell us out on important issues like Illegal Immigration.

admitting it takes “an arsenal” to (try to) force people into social engineering in schools

will the last white kid out of the public school system, please turn out the lights?

I think this just comes to prove that there are other issues than immigration that exsist and that are of vital importance to our nation. Specifically, who sits on our Supreme Court and who chooses them.

You can rip Bush all you want on immigration, but his Supreme Court justice choices have been right on.
