Too often we fail to thank You and praise You for all that You have done for us in America. You have blessed us beyond measure and though we have sinned in many different ways, You have not turned Your face away from us. Father, hear the prayers of the people all across this nation who recognize that You are the source of all hope for America, for You alone are our Strength and Shield. Our need for You is indeed great.
Thank You for our beloved country, Father, for it was established according to Your laws and truths. We confess that it is now besieged by those who want to subvert that heritage. O Lord, we can point the finger at judges, at Congress, at immigrants, and institutions, but we must accept part of the blame ourselves. Too often we have remained silent and have not spoken in defense of Your teachings. We have allowed the most vocal to speak loudly while we ourselves have kept quiet in the safety of our homes, immersed in our routines. Even though we love You, we have frequently chosen the acceptance of the world rather than pleasing You, our God. Forgive us, Lord. Make us strong in You and in the power of Your might. Help us to stand up for that which is good and right, just and true.
We ask You to give our President all manner of wisdom and discernment, especially regarding the immigration issue and the Iraq War. Father, keep his steps secure and lead him in the path You want him to follow. Send out interference to keep him from evil or from making wrong choices; for You, O Lord, are a shield for him---his glory, and the lifter of his head. We pray that You would help our President to keep his eyes not on things that are seen and temporary, but on that which is unseen and eternal. May Your Name be glorified in his life as he fulfills every purpose You have for him.
Father, we think about our troops and all those who have fought so bravely for freedom in this nation. Our hearts are filled with gratitude for their selfless acts of love and devotion to their fellow man. We ask for Your highest blessings upon them and Your powerful protection over them. Keep them from discouragement, Father, and may they be blessed with energy and firm resolve as they complete their missions.
Gracious and compassionate God, bless Your people who pause here to pray. Help us to worship You throughout each day and tell others of the power of Your awesome works. Grant us Your peace as we celebrate Your loving providence and Your mighty blessings upon this nation. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Please join us in prayer.
Praying your wonderful prayer with you, Amen
Amen.
Amen!
Father, release in us the Power that is ours, for the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in us. Cause us to use this Power to plead our cause before the Throne of Grace, for our leaders and our defenders and our countrymen. Let this Power become vocal as we speak Your Name and Your purpose ... let this Power overwhelm the enemy as we pray for their salvation.
And may we know, O God, to the very depths of our being, that Yours is the Kingdom ... Yours is the Power ... Yours is the Glory, forever, Amen ...
I agree with both your prayers, and with the others who are praying here.
Lord, we come against the evil spirits that have attacked our country and our president. We rebuke these spirits and bind them in the name of the precious son of God, Jesus the Lamb!
Holy Jehovah God, please open the eyes of President Bush and our congressmen, so they will see things as you see them. Please guide them to make good and righteous decisions despite pressure to follow vain political paths. Please help them to do right by their real constituents: all Americans. Please make our borders strong and secure, and help us have a fair and just system of immigration.
Please help us in our efforts to fight the Islamic terrorists. Help us, we pray, to bring peace and freedom to the Middle East. Our enemies are yours, too, dear God, because they seek to destroy both the Christians and the Jewish people. Fight for us, Lord, because we can do nothing on our own. We give you all the glory, and we pray these things in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Amen.
I will pray for President Bush regardless of the disappointment that I have. However, I believe that when a person does us wrong, they need our prayers even more.
God Bless President Bush.
Dear Lord Jesus, we thank you for this wonderful Country and the Bounty you have rained upon it. We thank you for your servant leader that you have given us to lead this Great Land.
We pray you would lead him down the path you would have us travel. We pray your arms of protection around him and his family. Give him your peace during this troubled time.
In Jesus Holy Name,
Amen
Unto Thee, O my Strength, will I Sing
For God is my Defense,
And the God of my Mercy. (Ps.59:17)
