For those of you attacking Ann Coulter for bringing up John Edwards' son's death, some perspective:

Running for his son: Teen's death changed Edwards' life
Here is the Edwards press machine making it an issue in 2004, acting as if they are finally opening up about it...but they were on record as talking about it in 2001....
**********
Here again, in 2005, Edwards pretends he's finally opening up about his son's death in a Chicago Tribune article:
Throughout his campaign for president and then vice president in 2004, former Sen. John Edwards of North Carolina made it clear that the death of his teenage son in a car accident was off-limits, not for discussion in a political context.
But now his wife, Elizabeth, has sent an e-mail to supporters voicing a connection she shares with Cindy Sheehan, the mother of a soldier killed in Iraq. As Sheehan was camped near President Bush's Texas ranch, protesting the war, Edwards called on her own family's backers to support Sheehan.
And, in a departure from a campaign-trail silence that the Edwardses kept about the death of their 16-year-old son, Wade, Elizabeth Edwards noted that Sheehan's son, Casey, 24, died in Iraq eight years to the day after her own son.

Here the Edwards are again in 2006, using it with Oprah and her dimwitted audience:
Book saves memory of son, Edwards tells Oprah ******************* Here's John again, finally opening up about his son's death (HOW MANY TIMES CAN YOU FINALLY OPEN UP!?!?!?)
Edwards Opens Up About Son He Lost
*******
The Edwards campaign site loves to bring it up also:
Here again,The Story I Am
Here, the Edwards' blog suggest the way to honor their dead son is to vote for John Edwards: Here again,Getting Young People To Vote

Its funny how Wade Edwards manages to make it into the political arena whenever John Edwards is running for something....
“Coulters remark about him displaying an Ask Me About My Son bumper sticker on his car is out of bounds.”
Coulters comment was dead on accurate and thats why he’s whining. People around here need to show a little more backbone and stick up for people like Ann when they tell the truth, or we will run out of truthtellers. And they are already rare.
Great post, thanks for reminding the Coulter Bashers.
yeah, I never thought I would grow tired of Ann but I am approaching that point. She’s has a great mind but her delivery is just awful. I can’t even watch her on a split screen debate anymore because she just huffs and rolls her eyes the entire time.
I wrote the station and told them that they won't get the reaction out of me that they wanted (to hate Ann COulter even more) because I was not a dumb Democrat and looked up the whole context/story. If you want to write to this news station (they are the ones where the commissioner didn't want the hurricane notices played) then here are their emails addresses:
newsradio610@ccmiami.com; kbrady@ccmiami.com; kencharles@clearchannel.com; lorishepard@clearchannel.com; webmaster@ccmiami.com; kcerenzia@ccmiami.com
PLease let them know that you know what Ann meant when she said that..that you know the whole story and don't appreciate their agenda of trying to trash her on half stories.
Some would just as soon roll over and pee themselvs than comfront the Christian, Conservative & Republican attackers.
Not a fag, a faggot. Please, when Ann uses colorful words she knows the depth of meaning ... fag is a limp-wristed male homosexual, faggot is something Edwards fits, a girly man.
Yeah, supposedly she made a joke about it a couple of years ago...that is what Mrs. Edwards was upset about. Instead poking fun at what must have been grief for the Edwards's, Ann could have legitimately gone after someone like Rosie O'Donnel exploiting her child and made a good case: click here
Freepers are 'up' on the News and political spectrum. We understand what she is saying and the sarcasm and comparisons she spouts.
But..
The vast majority of folks in the Country don't follow politics or in depth News.
They see her comments and cringe, completely oblivious to what or why she says it.
I love Ann but sometimes she makes me cringe.
The is nothing wrong with the Edwards' discussion how the death of their son changed their lives and I'm a little ashamed to share a country with people who think that poking fun at their tragedy is somehow acceptable "political" speech.
My wife is a hospital chaplain and just finished a rotation on the neo-natal ICU. Every day she had to bring spiritual comfort to people who had lost a child, or help parents wrestle with end-of-life issues for a baby that was never going to make it out of the hospital.
Some days she would come home and I'd have to hold her as she sobbed and we'd pray for her to find the strength to go back the next day and do it again. No one who has been touched by the death of a child would ever tell a parent that they weren't allowed to speak about how that loss changed their lives — whether or not that parent was running for political office.
Ann was over the line.
“No one who has been touched by the death of a child would ever tell a parent that they weren’t allowed to speak about how that loss changed their lives whether or not that parent was running for political office.”
Exactly. Nobody who loses a child is ever the same person again.
I guess this makes him a “Victim”
Edwards having his kids’ mommy call in to stand up for him is pathetic.
AMEN, thanks
Oops, my bad! :]
That says a lot more about many Republicans' reaction to him than it does about Fred.
This has Jersey Girls written all over it.
Incidentally, campaigning for her faggot husband is giving meaning to life for Mrs. Faggot. I can pray she will be cured of her cancer, but not be cured of her blindness where Mr. Faggot is concerned ... don’t want to pray for a maariage to end if she awakens to see the Faggot for what he is, an empty shell of deceptions preened on the surface to hide the vacuousness inside. That woman deserves better after suffering so much.
Not trying to defend slimeball Edwards...but, IMO, Coulter lowered herself to his level with inappropriate jokes about what is obviously grief for the Edwards family. No one (dirbag politician or not) can gain anything positive from the death of a child.
Libtards regularly say things much worse than Ann has ever said, yet when they finally encounter someone who can throw it right back in their faces, they can’t take it.
Rock on, Ann!
