I wish I had the money Apple’s hand model is making off all those ads. Probably not as much as the PC & Mac guys but still...

I just bought my brother a TMobile, prepaid phone. He got it ripped off and got one exactly like it at Walmart for $39.95. He calls me from Oregon and I hear him just fine.

Attention Wal-Mart shoppers, the iPhone will never ever be in stock in this location.

We're talking about luxury goods here. Not some crapola mass-market phone. Apple doesn't even want to beat everyone. They just want the upscale customers. And all of their money of course.

A lot of people don't know it but you can buy cellphones for up to $40,000. And they just make calls and have platinum shells and such. There is a market for luxury goods, you know.

I have a bluetooth headset but refuse to wear it because of all the tools I see walking around with them

I have to laugh when I see them walking around. An MD with one I could understand but the average person, c'mon; yet another fashion statement.

I feel like telling them they're going to get brain cancer if they wear them for long enough...

The one very real problem with the iPhone in the high-end market is the iPhone’s inability to work with a Microsoft Exchange server. That will keep a lot of business users away from the iPhone.

I don’t care how wealthy they are, anyone who would pay $40,000 for a cell is stupid.

(Paris) “Nicole, look at my $40,000,Platinum, cell.
(Nicole) “OOOOOOOOOOAAAAHHHHHHHHH, how does it work?
(Paris) “I don’t know.

Ridiculous looking thing - where's the crank? How are you supposed to get aholt of the operator without a crank? Sheesh.

Caller ID ....All this hype over the stupid iphone and all I really want is a phone with a better voicemail function. It takes to long to retrieve them. If they could put your voicemails on a list like your text messages, then let you click on them to open them, erase, fast forward, save, etc...that would be something to brag about.

Actually that is one of the things that makes the iPhone quite powerful. See the demo video that steps through all the functions or read the text. The demo is very effective.

My cellphone is great! It makes calls, receives calls and saves messages. Why should I change?

I don’t want one for the same reason I don’t want a Treo. I have a separate Palm (Tungsten T3), and I want it that way. I do my Word/Excel/PowerPoint (and countless other Palm apps) on the Palm, and I make my calls on my (very) simple Sanyo phone. I definitely don’t want a “convergent” device.

My husband just got his first blackberry, and he loves it.

He used to carry his laptop around everywhere. Now, he just has his tiny blackberry.

I have both an iPod and an older Archos running Rockbox. The iPod hardware is far superior, but Rockbox is infinitely more capable software. If and when Rockbox is stable on the iPod, I’m installing it.

The iPhone is the Paris Hilton of the smart phone genre.

I asked a guy at an AT&T kiosk and he said internet charges would be about $40 a month ON TOP of the phone service and texting.

This is one of the most poorly written, juvenile, unprofessional articles I’ve read in a computer magazine. I really am shocked at the low quality allowed in this publication.

If Dvorak is any indication of the quality of writers at PC magazine, they must hire complete hacks. Does this guy get paid to write, or is he homeless, or what?

I visited his blog, by the way, and it is a piece of crap site. This guy obviously has his head up his keister.

I am going to start camping out for my iPhone outside the Apple Store Wednesday night. Good thing the weather has gotten warm outside.

My 27 year old dial phone finally died at the end of April and I was forced to get a touchtone phone for the house because the dial versions are collectors items now, I could not justify replacing it.
