Looks like Syria and Iran are looking to blow the Middle East wide open. Could be a long summer in the desert.

Why didn’t we scramble some jets and blow them off the face of the earth?

"Any Iranian link to armed militias in Iraq either through weapons supply, training or funding are unacceptable." That was probably the extent of our response, issuing a statement that it's "unacceptable".

Also an attack on Iraq would be a useful Iranian distraction to divert the West in the event Iran and Syria plan to sponsor another war against Israel

It would be advisable to wait for confirmation from an authoritative source before suffering a self inflicted wedgie. :-)

As Hitler started to try and achieve his aims, Britain and France appeased him, and allowed Germany to become more powerful. -snip
Neville Chamberlain was considered a national hero for managing to avoid another war. However, 3 days after he returned to britain, Hitler invaded the rest of Czechoslovakia. Britain and France once again did nothing and appeased Hitler.

In effect, it means we are in a full on war with Iran -- but nobody has officially declared it."
We've been in a full on war with Iran since 1979 when they seized our embassy. They've been fighting the war ever since in various ways, but we refuse to fight back.
Soon, they will have nuclear weapons, but our president is more concerned right now with making sure the Mexican invaders don't feel uncomfortable while trying to cross our borders.

Didn’t Blair leave office? Maybe Iran is pushing to see which way our allies will go now. Just a thought.

How reliable can this be?
I mean I have no doubt Iran is meddling big time, hell beyond meddling.

I have a brother-in-law who server two tours in Iraq during this war. He told us LAST YEAR that the US was already fighting in Iran, but no one is reporting it.
