The banner was unfurled directly across the street from the school, and pointed in the direction of the school and students, therefore it was in the Court's opinion, a disruption of the school and it's discipline.

And what will be the unintended consequence of this ruling?
Keep in mind that this was on a public sidewalk and an abortion clinic has the same right not to be disrupted.

as a “vulgar” pro-drug-legalization atheist...

I appreciate your break from the fundamentalist humanistic mob who shares that point of view with you and dominates the far left who worship the public school system.

Corporal punishment can be a good thing or it can be abused.

I don't recall a time when public schools ever required jackets and ties, maybe a rare exception did so or maybe you made it up as a way to justify your rant.

Mandate prayer? Even in the Engel v. Vitalie case no student was ever required to pray.

Post the ten commandments 'on every square inch of space'? We all know that never happened, but to fanatically censor the ten commandments from the schools was never the wishes of the parents and does not agree with our legal and cultural history. It was a top down leftist judicial hissy fit that removed almost all influence of God after almost two hundred years under the Constitution.

Expel students for certain unacceptable behavior has always been a necessity and this should be decided responsibly at the state or local level, not by the fundamentalist humanistic left practicing overbearing activism from Washington.

Teach the Bible as fact? That would be an improvement over teaching the far left's idea of an amoral utopia as the ideal and it would at least be closer to the basic worldview reflected by the majority in all of U.S. history. Parents never asked to have their children taught that abortion is good, homosexuality is good, being a virtual whore is good, being a dopehead is an acceptable choice for an adult, socialism is good, America is racist, America is sexist etc.

The worst thing the left has forced into the public schools is teaching children that there is no absolute morality and you should ignore your parents moral views when they oppose the amoral views of the humanistic left who runs the public schools.

I have never favored the public schools, but if we are to have them, they should at least reflect the view of the parents instead of the views of the far left and the ACLU.

End the Big Government Public School monopoly and the humanistic left will scream and yell and lie and then they will shrivel. The parents will then be able to choose a school that reflects their values as the schools generally did before the leftist coup of the sixties and seventies.

Of couse he can. Our Constitution gaurantees him the right to act as follish as he likes.

Sure he can put on his little show. At the same time it should not be that he is insulated from the consequences of his tired act.

If there were no big government schools he would have to find a private school that thought his antics were just dandy. A private school should be able to boot his tail right out the door so he could find a school where his example was considered darling.

Just another reason to dismantle the big government school monstrosity.
