“A Roman Catholic nun who leads a social justice advocacy group called Network”

I know that there are alot of “cafeteria Catholics” kicking around modern America, but a “cafeteria Nun” seems a little beyond the pale.

Unfortunately, since the 70's, most communities of religious women have been dominated by feminist thinking. This makes it much more likely that they'll support abortion because they see it as a justice issue for women; totally disregarding justice toward the baby. Or if they don't LIKE abortion, they 're willing to ignore the issue because they're giving more weight to the 'social justice' issues, like poverty and peace, so they naturally gravitate to the Democrats.

This goes a long way toward explaining why the older Orders of religious women are dying out. They have very few young members. Most young women, if they are truly interested in giving their lives to the Lord, are not going to bother with orders who are barely even Catholic. They are going to the newer orders who are faithful to the Church and are under the headship of the Pope.
