Rev. Jesse Jackson Arrested at Gun Shop Protest
Fox News ^ | June 24, 2007 | AP

CHICAGO — The Rev. Jesse Jackson was arrested Saturday at a demonstration outside a south suburban gun shop and charged with one count of criminal trespass to property.

Jackson was arrested when he refused to move away from the entrance to Chuck's Gun Shop in Riverdale, police said. He has protested with other community activists outside the shop in recent weeks after a 16-year-old honor student was gunned down on a city bus.

Police said the shooting was gang-related but the teen was not the intended target.

Jackson, who says the gun shop's proximity to Chicago provides gang members and criminals easy access to firearms, has used the protests to call for stricter gun laws.

"Jackson, who says the gun shop's proximity to Chicago provides gang members and criminals easy access to firearms,"

Does this freakin' moron actually think that gang members actually buy guns from a gunshop?

Can this microcephalic sham BE any more irrelevant? Don't let the door hit you in the butt on the way out Jackass

He should learn to holster his own weapon.

How many children in adultery outside of his marriage now?

Too bad for his wife he did not fire more blanks.

I’d like to ask Jackson when he’s going to protest the gang.

Don’t be silly, gangs are just the result of whitey’s efforts to keep the bruthas down. They’re his consituents!

If protestor can be arrested blocking a business, why was the FACE act ever enacted?

Jesse is becoming more and more irrelevant. He needs a ploy to get the cameras trained on him and put him back on the news. Individual choices one makes in their lives has nothing to do with gangs and crime. It’s whitey’s fault.

I can only guess that Chuck forgot to make a “contribution” to Rainbro Push.

This man must have an arrest record a mile long. I'm wandering about how many convictions he has. Shouldn't he be on some sort of habitual criminal list by now or at least qualify for some sort of "time", just on the numbers alone???

Heh, heh, heh ... had to look that one up.

The violence is in the 'hood' Jesse, go there prancing around and they'll shoot your sorry ass.

Can we watch the language here? I have lots of friends who are morons and they don't like being compared to Jesse Jackson.

Great! I’m going to celebrate tomorrow by buying a shotgun. A Remington 870 Tactical. Surefire light attachment later.

Thus, I have some new problems: 1) how to teach the wife to shoot; 2) what self defense loads; and 3) where keep the weapon.

So let’s see, J. Jackson went to a gun store to protest because an unfortunate kid was shot with a gun, okay. Now does Jesse Jackson protest at car dealerships when kids are run over by cars? Does J. Jackson protest at liquor stores when kids are run over by drunks (and remember once of Jesse’s kids has a beer distributorship that Jesse probably shook down a beer company for). Does J. Jackson protest at prisons where the gang bangers are housed that accidentally shoot kids that are in the way? Does J. Jackson protest at community swimming pools when kids accidentally drown? And, on and on.

Gun shops DON'T SELL to felons. Its already prohibited BY LAW. But its too much for a grandstanding moron like Jesse Jackson to acquaint himself with that fact.
