Filmmaker Michael Moore has sparked speculations that he desires Al Gore's entry to the White House by stating that the man he wanted to see as the next President of the US has not entered the race yet.
Speaking at a lunch for his new documentary 'Sicko', Moore made oblique references to the former Vice-President.
"He's smart, funny and has humility," the New York Daily News quoted Moore as saying of his fellow liberal documentarian, who took home an Oscar this year for 'An Inconvenient Truth'.
"People in Europe don't complain about paying taxes when they actually pay more taxes, because they actually see a tangible result. They get something in return. Americans hate paying taxes because we can't even get a pothole fixed," he added.
Moore also that Norway was the best place in Europe with regard to health insurance.
"If you get sick in Norway, your health insurance will pay for a two-week spa vacation just to help you feel better," he said. (ANI)
There...fixed it.
Maybe he meant Ron Paul. Oh, that’s right. I guess he thinks he is in the race.
Only an effed up mind like Moore's would think this is a selling point for hard working americans.....what a dork...
good
then let him buy his own country somewhere and appoint Al.
PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE!
This is Moore-speak for "He's dumb enough that I can manipulate him."
Michael Moore and Al Gore need to be exiled to some other planet
<<< Michael Moore and Al Gore need to be exiled to some other planet >>>
They were, but they saw how dumb they were and sent them back here!
Oh, yea, and... about that socialist paradise, Norway.
If you need a surgery, you’re on a waiting list for 6 months, even for extremely basic stuff. My family lives there, my (far) younger (15 year old) brother needed to have a infected toenail worked on, they let him limp to school for 4 months in pain until I found out here and paid for a private clinic to take care of it. Here it’d have been done the same day. And say you need a major surgery, but it’s, say, November, and the budget ran out. Guess what ? No surgeries until January, when the new budget gets passed.
Y’know, f$%^ that! I’m sick and tired of all these socialists telling us (me) what’s better for us, as if they knew something.
Not so. Here’s what the official Oscar database says about “An Inconvenient Truth”:

Gore was the subject of the film — like the penguins in the previous year’s winner in the documentary feature category.
Al Gore does not project humility. He appears to me to be self absorbed. When Al Gore speaks I feel as though he is speaking slowly and enunciating his syllables such that he can make his ‘important and complex’ thoughts understandable to the rest of us. I find him irritating and insulting, not humble. Michael Moore I find to be just plain pitiful.
The average Norwegian takes 18-sick days per year. That ought to tell you how well their system is working for them. By contrast, Americans take 5 days per year. It should also be noted that Americans, on average, work 2,000 hours per year. Norwegians put in a whopping 1,399.
Exactly why does a country require 18 sick days per year when they’re working 2/3 the hours of the average American? Because they’re lazy, and they can. Norway is a country completely living off of its oil money. Which is great, I guess. Though a move to more “green” technology could put them in a bit of a pinch.
Do it!
One should display humility after attempting to tear apart the Republic over the false hope he was actually elected. "Electoral College", Gore. Read all about it in that Constitution thingy...
Well, but! They do know something. They know that what they prescribe for you and me, is something they will never have to do.
If Hillary and her ilk get sick, they will go straight to the front of the line, no waiting and get the best treatment available.
And, we will pay for it.
“The average Norwegian takes 18-sick days per year.”
Holy crap. 18 days per year? Am in my mid 40’s, don’t think I’ve taken 18 days in my life. That includes a car accident which caused me to miss a week because I could not move.
“[Michael] Moore wants Al Gore as US President?”
I want Gore in the primaries. Just for entertainment purposes.
The author's guess of Algore is obviously way off base.
Holland is the same. My friend’s mother in Amsterdam was too old to qualify for the life saving procedure she needed and they were not allowed to pay for it. They tried to get her to Germany but she died before they could get her there.
My friend will still defend the Dutch health care system. Unbelievable! We just don’t talk about it.
